This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and create a world where our customers wonder, “How did I ever live without Coupang?”</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position : Senior Manager, Sourcing &amp; Product Strategy (Direct Factory)</strong></p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>The<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><strong>Sourcing &amp; Product Strategy Manager</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>acts as the bridge between market intelligence and manufacturing. Instead of just managing "supply," you will use data to decide<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><em>what</em><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>to build and<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><em>when</em>to launch it. You will analyze e-commerce trends, competitor gaps, and consumer behavior in Taiwan to direct local factories to produce high-margin, high-demand products that will Wow the customers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you will do:<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Data-Driven Assortment Planning:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Analyze platform sales data to identify "white space" opportunities for new product launches at better profitability.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Launch Decisions:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Own the "Go/No-Go" decision for new products. Use pre-launch testing, A/B testing on landing pages, and competitive pricing analysis to validate a product’s potential before committing to factory MOQs.</li> <li><strong>Direct Factory Partnerships:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Identify Taiwan-based manufacturers capable of "Agile Production"—factories that can handle smaller initial test batches and scale quickly based on real-time sales performance.</li> <li><strong>Commercial Negotiation:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Focus negotiations on speed-to-market and re-order<strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></strong>flexibility rather than just unit cost. Secure terms that allow for "just-in-time" inventory to minimize overstock risk &amp; ensure consistent availability.</li> <li><strong>Lifecycle Management:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Monitor post-launch performance metrics (Conversion Rate, Return Rate, ROAS) to decide whether to double down on a factory line, iterate the design, or exit the category.</li> <li><strong>Competitor Benchmarking:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Regularly scrape and analyze competitor pricing and reviews to ensure our direct-to-factory products maintain a superior value proposition.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>E-commerce Savvy:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Deep understanding of the Taiwan e-commerce ecosystem, including seasonal spikes and local consumer purchasing triggers.</li> <li><strong>Factory &amp; Product understanding<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></strong>: Deep understanding of the product categories and factories that can deliver products at best quality &amp; lowest cost.</li> <li><strong>Commercial Acumen:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Strong ability to build business cases for new products, including projected ROI, Landed Cost Analysis, and Break-even points.</li> <li><strong>Relationship Management:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Ability to pitch "growth stories" to factory owners, convincing them to prioritize our production runs based on data-backed demand forecasts.</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>5–7 years in Category Management, Growth Marketing, or Data-Driven Sourcing within an e-commerce/retail environment.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Recruitment Process</strong></p> <ul> <li>Application Review - Phone Interview - Onsite (or Virtual Onsite) Interview – Offer</li> <li>The exact nature of the recruitment process may vary according to the specific job and may be changed due to scheduling or other circumstances.</li> <li>Interview schedules and the results will be informed to the applicant via the e-mail address submitted at the application stage.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Things to Consider</strong></p> <ul> <li>This job posting may be closed prior to the stated end date for application if all openings are filled.</li> <li>Coupang has the right to rescind an offer of employment if a candidate is found to have submitted false information as part of the application process.</li> <li>Coupang does not discriminate against disabled applicants or those with veteran status.
