The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and enhance backend applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.</li> <li>Develop and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.</li> <li>Build cloud-native, event-driven solutions leveraging AWS services.</li> <li>Design and implement distributed architectures using: Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway</li> <li>Implement observability best practices, including logging, metrics, monitoring, and distributed tracing.</li> <li>Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.</li> <li>Drive code quality, engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor and developer copilots, to improve productivity and software quality.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams using Agile methodologies.</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>Proven mid-to-senior level backend experience in software engineering.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Java.</li> <li>Hands-on experience developing applications with Spring Boot and Quarkus.</li> <li>Strong experience with AWS, including: Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway</li> <li>Experience designing and developing microservices.</li> <li>Strong understanding of distributed and event-driven architectures.</li> <li>Experience implementing observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing.</li> <li>Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments.</li> <li>Experience using AI-powered software development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar developer assistants.</li> </ul> <h3>Nice to have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with reactive programming using Mutiny or Project Reactor.</li> <li>Experience within investment banking, capital markets, or financial services.</li> <li>Familiarity with the Nasdaq Calypso platform.</li> <li>Experience optimizing highly scalable, mission-critical backend systems.</li> </ul> <h3>English level</h3> <p>Intermediate</p> <p>Work type: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)</p> <p>Location: São Paulo, Brazil</p> <h3>Legal &amp; Hiring Information</h3> <ul> <li>Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more</li> <li>Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions</li> <li>Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
