The Tactical SATCOM Operation &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) Support will support the day-to-day end users of tactical satellite systems to include but not limited to Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)/Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), Support Wide Area Network (SWAN), Inflatable SATCOM Antenna (ISA), and Wireless Point to Point Links (WPPL). &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Operate tactical SATCOM systems based on formal training and certification.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Apply in-depth knowledge of network protocols and foundational network theory in daily operations.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Configure, manage, and troubleshoot&nbsp;Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN)&nbsp;architectures.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Implement and support routing protocols including&nbsp;OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Apply switching fundamentals such as&nbsp;VLANs, VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, and&nbsp;Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Utilize Cisco encryption technologies within DMVPN environments to ensure secure communications.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Understand and apply&nbsp;TCP acceleration techniques&nbsp;to&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;performance over satellite links.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Minimum Qualifications:</h2> <ul> <li>Active, in-scope Secret clearance.</li> <li>U.S. citizenship.</li> <li>A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with satellite terminal systems is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a tactical environment operating and maintaining key satellite components, including antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Blocks (LNBs), up/down converters, and various cabling types such as fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet. Proficiency with FDMA and TDMA satellite modems is essential.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in both commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures. Strong background in IP routing and switching, VoIP, Quality of Service (QoS), T1/E1 voice and data systems, and Foreign Exchange Server (FXS) configurations. Experience with MRT systems is preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge and hands-on experience with Satellite Line of Sight (LOS) and Near Line of Sight (NLOS) communication methods.</li> <li>Required Certifications: <ul> <li>An active CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II certification).</li> <li>An active CompTIA Network+ CE (or CCNA/CCNP)</li> <li>A relevant modem certification (e.g., iDirect, GVF training, Viasat)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Able to travel to support mission up to 50%.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must possess a valid U.S. passport.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Education:</h2> <ul> <li>Associates degree preferred, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
