Job Summary Responsible for the electrical design and development of a variety of products and systems, focused primarily on motion control applications.  In addition to motion/motor control, design responsibilities can include power conversion, power control/management, and a variety of other electronic circuits.  Project assignments can cover full product life cycle, including requirement derivation, conceptual design, detailed design, prototyping, integration and test, transition into MFG, and product sustainment. This position is divided into two classifications: Electrical Engineer 1,2. The compensation pay band includes and is based on level of skills, knowledge, and experience. Electrical Engineer 1 typically requires 0 to 4 years of relatable engineering experience Electrical Engineer 2 typically requires 5 to 8 years of relatable engineering experience Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Lead and direct other engineering teammates as needed.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Participate in Trust Automation’s design and development processes, including design reviews</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Contribute to project success by meeting design requirements on schedule and within budget</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist Program Managers and Trust VPs with project/program planning, including specification of system application solutions, task prioritization, and risk mitigation</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist with customer interaction and perform product/system demonstrations as needed</li> </ul> Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">BS degree in Electrical Engineering</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Digital and analog circuit design experience</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience in power electronics design</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Self-accountable and able to work with minimal oversight</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience with electric motors, drive electronics, and power conversion circuits</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience with Microcontroller/Microprocessor based systems</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience with circuit simulation tools (i.e. – PSpice)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Practical experience in PCB level component troubleshooting</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Practical experience in electrical system level troubleshooting</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience with closed-loop control of motor torque, speed, and position experience</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Control system development experience (i.e. – PID) preferred</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Familiarity with system simulation tools (i.e. – MATLAB, SIMULINK) preferred</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Familiarity with communication interfaces/protocols: SPI, I2C, Modbus, USB, CAN, RS232, RS422/RS485, Ethernet, EtherCAT</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Professional written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to manage time effectively and work effectively with project managers and upper management</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">This position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment.
