You will own the planning architecture for the company and partner directly with the CFO on the decisions that matter most: how we allocate capital, which contracts and partnerships we pursue, how we price risk, and how we get to profitable scale. You will lead FP&A through the annual budgeting cycle and our long-range plan process, while building the models and operating rhythm that give the CEO and leadership team a clear, forward-looking view of the business.  You will be a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive team, with regular exposure to the Board, lenders, and investors. This is a high-growth role in a high-growth organization.  What You Will Do:   Planning, Forecasting & Team Leadership  <ul> <li>Own the company's planning strategy: build and lead the budget and the multi-year LRP process, and translate corporate strategy into financial targets, resource allocation, and operating plans. </li> <li>Build and maintain the 13-week rolling cash forecast and tie it to the operating forecast and capital planning, working with the Controllership on AP payment timing and treasury inputs. </li> <li>Run the monthly forecast and reforecast cycles, delivering variance analysis that explains what is driving results and what to do about it. </li> <li>Build driver-based models for revenue, membership, utilization, supplier mix, and cost of care, including capitated payer mechanics (PMPM, payments lags, completion factors). </li> <li>Partner with Controllership, ensuring forecast methodology, accruals and actuals reconcile. </li> <li>Build, lead, and mentor the FP&A team, and set the standard for model quality, documentation, and analytical rigor. </li> </ul> Executive Insight, Strategic Partnership & Vendor Management  <ul> <li>Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and CFO, framing options, quantifying tradeoffs, and making clear recommendations on investments, growth initiatives, and operating priorities. </li> <li>Lead scenario and sensitivity analysis for capital strategy, including lender, surety, and investor discussions. </li> <li>Shape pricing, payer contract negotiations, and strategic partnership decisions through rigorous financial modeling and unit economics. </li> <li>Run the OKR and KPI framework and own the MBR and Board reporting, turning complex data into clear narratives and decisions. </li> <li>Partner with Network, Product, and Operations to evaluate utilization trends, initiative ROI, and resource allocation. </li> <li>Own vendor management as a strategic cost lever: maintain the contract and renewal calendar, review agreements for cost and risk exposure (payment terms, credit limits, seat and usage true-ups, auto-renewals), lead negotiations with business owners, and report vendor spend against budget. </li> </ul> Note: These responsibilities reflect the general nature and scope of the role but are not exhaustive. Responsibilities may evolve to meet changing business needs.  What You Have:    At Synapse Health, we’ve intentionally built a culture rooted in kindness, collaboration, and creativity, qualities we consider essential for every team member. Additional requirements include:  <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred. </li> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate development, corporate finance, strategy, or investment-oriented finance, with at least 4 years leading teams. </li> <li>A record of influencing executive decisions, not just supporting them. </li> <li>Hands-on model-building credibility: you can build a three-statement model, a cohort-based forecast, or a cash forecast from scratch and still own the logic. </li> <li>Experience leveraging AI to accelerate core FP&A workflows. </li> <li>Experience negotiating vendor or commercial terms in a cost-constrained environment. </li> <li>Strong command of Excel and modern planning tools; comfort with SQL and BI tools (Snowflake and Sigma) is a plus. </li> <li>Experience in a high-growth, high-performance environment. </li> <li>Exceptional executive communication, with the ability to present to a Board and defend a point of view. </li> <li>Comfort with ambiguity, imperfect data, and a finance function mid-rebuild. </li> </ul> What Sets You Apart:   <ul> <li>Healthcare experience, ideally value-based care, Medicare Advantage, capitation, or risk-bearing provider models. </li> <li>Familiarity with claims lag triangles, IBNR, and/or completion-factor methodology. </li> <li>Experience with DME, healthcare services, or payer-provider contracting. </li> <li>Exposure to capital markets, lender, or investor engagement. </li> <li>Exposure to Sage or comparable mid-market ERPs. </li> <li>Prior experience in strategy, corporate development, consulting, or investment banking. </li> </ul> Compensation:  The base salary range for this position is $161,600 – $202,000 annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions.
