This leader will be responsible for driving execution excellence, building a high-performing organization, and ensuring our platform scales reliably to meet the demands of enterprise financial institutions.</p> <p>This role requires a strong operator—someone who has <strong>successfully led engineering teams of 100+</strong>, and brings deep expertise in <strong>process rigor, organizational design, and capacity planning</strong>. You will partner closely with Product, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to translate business priorities into predictable engineering outcomes.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Organizational Leadership &amp; Scale</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and grow a <strong>100+ person engineering organization</strong>, including Engineering Managers, Architects, and ICs</li> <li>Design and evolve org structures aligned to product lines, platform needs, and scale requirements</li> <li>Build leadership bench strength and succession plans across the organization</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Execution Excellence</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Establish predictable delivery frameworks with strong <strong>planning, estimation, and execution rigor</strong></li> <li>Drive adoption of engineering best practices across SDLC, CI/CD, release management, and incident management</li> <li>Improve key metrics such as <strong>velocity, quality, uptime, and time-to-market</strong></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Process &amp; Operating Model</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Implement scalable processes for <strong>roadmap planning, sprint execution, and cross-functional collaboration</strong></li> <li>Create a culture of accountability with clear KPIs, OKRs, and operational dashboards</li> <li>Continuously refine development processes to balance speed, quality, and reliability</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Capacity Planning &amp; Resource Management</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Own <strong>capacity planning models</strong> that align engineering supply with business demand</li> <li>Forecast hiring needs, optimize team allocation, and manage budget efficiently</li> <li>Drive data-driven decisions on build vs. buy, outsourcing, and investment prioritization</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Architecture &amp; Platform Reliability</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Partner with architecture leaders to ensure systems are <strong>scalable, secure, and resilient</strong></li> <li>Oversee modernization initiatives including cloud-native adoption, microservices, and platform engineering</li> <li>Ensure compliance with financial industry standards (security, privacy, regulatory requirements)</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Product and Design to align on roadmap priorities and customer outcomes</li> <li>Work with Customer Success and Support teams to close the loop on production feedback</li> <li>Act as a key member of the global engineering leadership team</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Experience</strong></h4> <ul> <li>15+ years in software engineering, with <strong>5+ years in senior leadership (VP/SVP level)</strong></li> <li>Proven experience managing <strong>engineering teams of 150+ people</strong></li> <li>Strong background in <strong>Enterprise SaaS</strong>, ideally within <strong>FinTech or regulated industries</strong></li> <li>Demonstrated success in scaling engineering organizations through high-growth phases</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Leadership &amp; Operational Strengths</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Deep expertise in <strong>organizational design, process optimization, and capacity planning</strong></li> <li>Strong track record of building high-performing teams and engineering leaders</li> <li>Experience driving <strong>execution predictability at scale</strong></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Technical Acumen</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Solid understanding of modern architectures (cloud-native, distributed systems, APIs)</li> <li>Experience with high-availability, secure, and compliant systems</li> <li>Ability to engage deeply with architecture and technical trade-offs when needed</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3> <ul> <li>A <strong>builder-operator hybrid</strong> who thrives in scaling environments</li> <li>Strong systems thinker with a bias for <strong>data-driven decision-making</strong></li> <li>Exceptional communicator who can align executives, engineers, and cross-functional teams</li> <li>Passion for building customer-centric, mission-critical platforms</li> </ul>
