Senior Full Stack Ruby on Rails Software Engineer at Vestmark

<p>Vestmark is seeking a <strong>Senior Full Stack Engineer</strong>&nbsp;with expertise in&nbsp;<strong>Ruby on Rails</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>React</strong> to help us build and enhance our financial advisor portal. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop robust, scalable, and high-performance applications.&nbsp; This role is expected to be hybrid out of Wakefield, MA or Boston, MA.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop, maintain, and improve Vestmark’s financial advisor platform using Ruby on Rails on the backend and React on the frontend.</li> <li>Build RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.</li> <li>Implement well-structured, reusable, and testable code following best practices.</li> <li>Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience.</li> <li>Optimize application performance and scalability.</li> <li>Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team discussions.</li> <li>Work with DevOps to deploy and monitor applications in production.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails development.</li> <li>3+ years of experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).</li> <li>Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.</li> <li>Proficiency in writing scalable, secure, and maintainable code.</li> <li>Experience with TypeScript and Inertia.js is a plus.</li> <li>Strong grasp of object-oriented and functional programming concepts.</li> <li>Experience with testing frameworks like RSpec, Jest, or similar.</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with authentication and authorization systems (Okta, Devise, or similar) is a plus.</li> <li>Contribute to the growth and development of our core values: We Before Me, Positive Energy, Knowledge Explorer, and Own It</li> </ul> <p><em>Vestmark is an equal opportunity employer.
