Database Team with a focus on SQL Server, Oracle binary log reading and change data capture, you will be responsible to help build new features of our data pipeline service, help improve our software architecture, and maintain reliable operation of the service. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technologies You’ll Use</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Java, SQL Server, Oracle, SQL, Kubernetes</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>SQL Server and/or Oracle Binary Log Reading: </strong>Develop and implement strategies for reading SQL Server or Oracle binary logs to enhance data replication accuracy and efficiency.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Reverse Engineering Database Binary Logs: </strong>Utilize reverse engineering techniques to understand and improve upon the database binary log structure for better data integrity and replication <strong>performance.</strong></span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Dive Deep into Data Replication: </strong>Debugging and analyzing existing code that is in use by hundreds of customers today, including those operating the largest SQL Server clusters.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Analyze New Features: </strong>Analyze new features introduced by SQL Server and/or Oracle in recent releases and determine how to develop supporting features.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Contribute to Maintenance and Improvement: </strong>Participate in the maintenance and improvement of existing connectors; call for improvement in all areas of Fivetran's codebase and infrastructure.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Cloud and Scale: </strong>Be a part of the process to move a high-performance client-side service to the cloud and operate at scale.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Software Designs and Technical Roadmap:</strong> Develop software designs and a technical roadmap for the team. Also collaborate with Database Group leadership in helping craft the rolling 12 month technical roadmap for the organization.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Assist Customer Success and GTM Teams:</strong> Work closely with the Customer Success and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to assist in challenging customer situations.
