This individual will serve as a technical SME for Cameo-based MBSE model development and SysML best practices, contributing tothe development of digital thread architecture and ecosystem operation. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing system models across complex space and missile defense programs, while also assisting with digital thread architecture development and being involved in systems engineering processes in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of War (DoW) policies and industry standards. This includes developing and managing models created organically, working with subcontractors and evaluating their work, and integrating models provided externally from partners and the U.S. Government. This position will report to the Digital Thread Architect/Director of Digital Engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Serve as a Cameo MBSE SME, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and governance for SysML-based system models </li> <li>Develop, maintain, and integrate MBSE artifacts supporting space systems, spacecraft, satellites, and missile defense weapon systems </li> <li>Work closely with the Systems Engineering team in capturing the full-spectrum of activities using model-based approaches, including:  <ul> <li>Requirements analysis and traceability </li> <li>Functional and logical architecture development </li> <li>Interface definition and system decomposition </li> <li>Verification and validation modeling </li> </ul> </li> <li>Support System of Systems Engineering activities and model integration </li> <li>Apply and tailor MBSE practices in accordance with DoDI 5000.97, DoDI 5000.88, DoD Digital Engineering and Systems Engineering guidance documents, industry standards, recommended practices, and internal engineering requirements </li> <li>Utilize the Cameo platform to create and manage a model-based, authoritative representation of system requirements, architecture, behavior, interfaces, and verification to enable traceability, trade studies, business and technical decisions, and lifecycle decision-making for complex systems.  </li> <li>Assist in integrating MBSE models with enterprise PLM tools, including Teamcenter, Jama, NX CAD, and other data systems, to enable lifecycle data continuity </li> <li>Help develop, refine, and deploy Systems Engineering processes and MBSE workflows across programs </li> <li>Collaborate within Agile development environments, supporting incremental delivery and continuous integration of system models </li> <li>Support classified programs, ensuring compliance with security requirements and configuration management practices </li> <li>Contribute to proposal efforts, technical reviews, and customer engagements related to MBSE, Systems Engineering, and Digital Engineering  </li> <li>Assist in developing, implementing and sustaining Digital Engineering and Digital Thread concepts across engineering and all lifecycle phases </li> <li>Perform other MBSE and Systems Engineering related tasks as required</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline </li> <li>5+ years of direct Cameo modeling experience, with strong experience and working knowledge of SysML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, and System of Systems engineering </li> <li>Familiarity with MBSE best practices and real-world implementation </li> <li>Experience using system modeling tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Cameo Simulation Toolkit, or similar </li> <li>Experience with Systems Engineering for aircraft, space systems, spacecraft, satellites, missile systems, threat systems, kill vehicles, ground stations, or missile defense systems </li> <li>Experience with process development and deployment in engineering and environments </li> <li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies </li> <li>Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance</li> </ul> PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE <ul> <li>Master’s degree in a related engineering or technical field </li> <li>More than one year of program experience working in a structured Agile environment </li> <li>Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs </li> <li>Familiar with AFSIM and/or SpaceDEN </li> <li>Developing digital twin and/or virtual twins </li> <li>Experience influencing or assisting with digital thread architectures </li> <li>Familiar with DoDI 5000.97, DoD Style Guide for MBSE, and other DoD documents, processes, and practices related to digital engineering and MBSE </li> <li>Documented completion of Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering Bootcamp Training </li> <li>Hands-on skills in software programming (Python, C++, etc.), utilizing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (AI/ML) </li> <li>Experience in reliability engineering, predictive analytics, parametric models, probabilistic, point estimates, and deterministic modeling </li> <li>Utilize and participate in industry standards organizations and working groups (SAE, AIAA, IEEE, INCONSE, RAMS, etc.) to continuously assess and acquire the latest technological solutions and techniques </li> <li>Hands-on experience with Teamcenter for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) </li> <li>Active Top Secret
