About the Role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <div><strong>This is a part time, paid position.&nbsp;</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>**PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT DETAILS SECTION BELOW BEFORE APPLYING.**</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The Events and Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for excellence in executing the service plan of Apartment Life. Specifically, they work with their Apartment Life supervisor to prepare a monthly schedule to serve through events and programming in order to meet the needs of each community. Programming can include resident events, workshops/classes for adults and families, resourcing activities and welcoming new residents. This role internally will be called<u> Coordinator of Resident Services. </u></div> <p><strong>Important Details:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role is part time serving 1 Senior Adult (55+) community located in <strong>Old Hickory, TN</strong> so the coordinator must have a heart for this population.</li> <li>The coordinator will be paid to serve hourly<strong> 8&nbsp;hours per week.&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>The coordinator will be paid<strong> $21 per hour. </strong></li> <li>The coordinator must be available to<span style="text-decoration: underline;"> serve during regular business hours (Monday-Friday before 5:30pm).</span></li> <li>The coordinator will plan and host 2-3 events each month to promote social engagement, wellness, health, enrichment, and stability.</li> <li>The coordinator will update a list of helpful resources for residents monthly for rent assistance, food assistance, and other needs.</li> <li>The coordinator will meet with residents with specific needs and help connect them to local resources.</li> <li>The coordinator will partner with community businesses to provide holistic activities.</li> <li>The coordinator will communicate effectively with the onsite staff and AL supervisor.</li> <li>The coordinator will report activity and impact each month.</li> <li>Please review our website to review the Resident Services program <a class="postings-link" href="https://apartmentlife.org/residentservices">here.</a></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li> <li>Be legally eligible to work in the United States</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services</li> <li>Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal)</li> <li>Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed</li> <li>Basic computer skills</li> <li>Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports</li> <li>Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors</li> <li>Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds</li> <li>Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home</li> <li>Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-body text-muted"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div> <div class="text-body regular"> <ul> <li>Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required</li> <li>Experience serving at-risk populations preferred</li> <li>Previous event planning experience</li> <li>Experience working within a budget</li> <li>Some relevant experience using social media</li> <li>Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div class="mt1_5"> <div class="bg-gray-50 text-gray-700 p2 border rounded"> <div class="text-caption caps bold mb1">&nbsp;</div> <div class="text-body text-muted"> <p class="p3">To learn more about Apartment Life, we invite you to explore our <a href="https://www.apartmentlife.org/"><span class="s1">website</span></a>, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/liveapartmentlife/"><span class="s1">Facebook</span></a> page, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/aptlife"><span class="s1">Instagram</span></a> page.</p> <p class="p3">Many applicants also find our <a href="https://apartmentlife.org/applicantfaqs"><span class="s1">FAQ</span></a> page to be a valuable resource when discerning if this opportunity is the right fit.</p> <p class="p3"><strong>Additional notes regarding the application</strong></p> <p class="p3">To help us get to know you well, please respond to all questions in your own voice.
