We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Social Experience team and help us continue to build the future of fantasy sports. <h2> </h2> <h2>Job Summary</h2> We are seeking a Software Engineer III with strong Ruby on Rails expertise to join our Marketing Technology (MarTech) team. In this role, you will own feature development within Rails-based backend services that power PrizePicks' member engagement, lifecycle marketing, and marketing enablement infrastructure - including data pipelines, customer data platform integrations, and marketing automation tooling. You will own the delivery of complex work end-to-end, begin guiding junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape your team's systems. This is a role for someone who can bridge the gap between technical systems and marketing outcomes, deliver high-quality solutions, and start having influence beyond their own code. <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Own feature development: Take ownership of features end-to-end - from technical design through delivery - breaking complex projects into well-scoped, deliverable pieces across our martech stack.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Write high-quality code: Produce Ruby code that is idiomatic, performant, well-tested, and raises the bar for the codebase.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Contribute to architecture: Participate in team-level architectural decisions around data modeling, CDP event schemas, service boundaries, API design, and background processing patterns.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Build and maintain martech integrations: Design and own integrations with our Customer Data Platform (CDP) and marketing automation tools like Braze - including event ingestion, audience syncing, and canvas triggering via API.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Improve quality proactively: Identify opportunities to improve data reliability, pipeline performance, and developer experience - and act on them.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Guide junior engineers: Provide technical guidance to Software Engineers I and II through thorough code reviews, pairing sessions, and design feedback.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Data, and Product teams to translate campaign and personalization requirements into reliable technical implementations.
