The role emphasizes cross-functional coordination, frequent stakeholder engagement, and contributions to technical planning and project execution. This position is ideal for an engineer who brings a system-level mindset and thrives in a structured, mission-critical development environment. Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Lead and maintain system, subsystem, and interface requirements across the program lifecycle; ensure traceability and compliance with MDA standards</li> <li>Develop and manage system-level verification plans, procedures, and compliance matrices</li> <li>Plan and support execution of system-level verification events (e.g., reviews, inspections, tests)</li> <li>Conduct and maintain technical risk assessments, mitigation plans, and risk tracking documentation</li> <li>Interface regularly with cross-functional teams including propulsion, software, hardware, test, GNC, quality, and safety</li> <li>Collaborate with customer and supplier stakeholders to communicate requirements changes, verification status, and risk posture</li> <li>Support development of and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts using SysML and Cameo/MagicDraw</li> <li>Participate in configuration management, change control, and formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)</li> <li>Assist in technical planning, schedule alignment, and tracking of engineering deliverables</li> </ul> Required Qualifications:  <ul> <li>4 to 7 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, aerospace, or missile defense programs</li> <li>Proven experience in requirements development, verification planning, and risk management</li> <li>Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes, technical reviews, and CDRL development</li> <li>Hands-on experience with MBSE methodologies and modeling using SysML in tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler</li> <li>Background in stakeholder coordination and cross-functional engineering communication</li> <li>Exposure to project engineering tasks such as planning and status tracking is preferred</li> <li>Required: Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited college/university</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications:  <ul> <li>Preferred: Master’s degree in systems engineering or a related discipline is desirable and may substitute for 1 year of experience from an accredited college/university</li> </ul> Skills: <ul> <li>Proficient in DOORS (or equivalent) for requirements management</li> <li>Competent in developing and interpreting SysML diagrams (e.g., block definition, activity, sequence, state)</li> <li>Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) for MBSE documentation and integration</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders</li> <li>Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle standards (e.g., INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499, EIA-632)</li> <li>Ability to assess and manage technical risks and develop actionable mitigation plans</li> <li>Strong technical writing skills for briefings, reports, and formal documentation</li> <li>Experienced with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project</li> </ul> Others: <ul> <li>Experience supporting technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) for MDA or equivalent defense programs</li> <li>Working knowledge of DoDAF or similar system architecture frameworks</li> <li>INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification, or experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or scheduling tools, is a plus</li> <li>Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time</li> <li>Committed to mission success, technical integrity, and collaborative execution in a national defense environment</li> </ul> Please click “Apply” to submit your application.  Voyager offers a comprehensive, total compensation package, which includes competitive salary, a discretionary annual bonus plan, paid time off (PTO), a comprehensive health benefit package, retirement savings, wellness program, and various other benefits. When you join our team, you’re not just an employee; you become part of a dynamic community dedicated to innovation and excellence.  To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Parts 120–130) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730–774), applicants for this position must be a U.S. Person: a US Citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
