The candidate will be supporting the senior portfolio manager and broader inflation team in exploring and analyzing investment ideas.</p> <p><strong><u>Position Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a fundamental understanding of the inflation market and its main products including cash and derivative instruments</li> <li>Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify potential trading opportunities and assess the risk of existing strategies, which involves the development and maintenance of spreadsheets used to drive investment decisions</li> <li>Support the team’s research process, including data collection and analysis, prototyping, back testing, and performance monitoring</li> <li>Communicate opportunities to the Investment and Leadership teams</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications &amp; Desired Skills</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>1-2 years’ experience in a relevant role at a top tier bank or hedge fund</li> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in finance, economics, or a similar quantitative discipline</li> <li>Exceptional quantitative &amp; programming skills (Python &amp; SQL)</li> <li>Knowledge and interest in financial markets</li> <li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Critical thinking, strong attention to detail and independent problem solving skills</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment</li> <li>Ability and willingness to work unconventional hours</li> </ul> <p><a href="https://www.gardacp.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Candidate_Privacy_Notice.pdf">Candidate Privacy Notice</a></p>
