You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling the core backend services and infrastructure that support our SaaS and on-prem deployments. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the stability, performance, and scalability of our platform, helping to ensure an exceptional experience for our customers.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Platform development: </strong>Contribute to the design and development of storage systems, job scheduling systems, data ingestion frameworks, monitoring frameworks etc to ensure high system performance and availability.</li> <li><strong>Feature development: </strong>&nbsp;Build and maintain backend frameworks that support essential platform features&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Scalability &amp; Reliability:</strong> Develop scalable, high-performing, and reliable services optimized for handling complex workloads, and high-traffic loads.</li> <li><strong>Monitoring &amp; Visibility:</strong> Develop and improve monitoring and logging frameworks to provide deep visibility into system performance, reliability, and application health.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration: </strong>Collaborate with cross functional teams across our US and India offices.</p> <p>Read our blog to know more about the type of work we are doing:<a href="https://forwardnetworks.com/scaling/"> https://forwardnetworks.com/scaling/</a></p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science or related degree; MS or PhD preferred</li> <li>7+ years of full lifecycle software development experience</li> <li>Deep expertise in Java (version 17 or later) and hands-on experience with Spring or other similar frameworks.</li> <li>Strong object-oriented design and development skills</li> <li>Hands on experience with containerization and Kubernetes</li> <li>Several years of backend experience with Java, C++ or similar languages</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with REST APIs, as well as with frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate</li> <li>Big Data and NoSQL experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>NOTE</strong>: experience in the networking domain is NOT a requirement for this role but is a plus.</p> <p>This position is a regular, full-time opportunity with Forward Networks in Bangalore, India.</p>
