As part of the team, you will be involved in designing and implementing new capabilities for this platform, and in deployment using CI/CD principles. An ideal candidate will care about productivity and automation.&nbsp; You will be working with software that fundamentally enables the internet to operate at scale.</p> <p>We’re looking for a junior to mid-level experienced&nbsp;<strong>software automation engineer</strong> who demonstrates:</p> <ul> <li>strong collaboration skills</li> <li>a track record for high quality and impactful delivery demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code quality</li> <li>true craftsmanship, who enjoys breaking down tough problems</li> <li>passion for producing quality code and dedicated to best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deployment</li> <li>that they are an agent for change, constantly learning and seeking better outcomes</li> <li>skill at interacting and working with people in a positive manner to mitigate key project technical risks and ensure quality</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Has solid understanding of writing software in a system-level programming language (C, C++, Rust)</li> <li>Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)</li> <li>Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub)</li> <li>Experience with or a strong willingness to learn infrastructure automation and platform engineering technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and OpenStack</li> <li>Proficient with Linux</li> <li>Python or similar scripting language</li> <li>Outstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skills</li> <li>Excellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Relevant Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of relevant work experience in software development</li> <li>2+ years development in a system-level programming language</li> <li>Working on an Agile software development team</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with DNS at the protocol level</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes</li> <li>Exposure to behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or Cucumber</li> </ul> <p>The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.</p> <p>The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
