This is a full-time, in person position. The Safety Trainer is an embedded resource focused on delivering consistent, high-quality safety training across the project team. This role supports compliance, builds field awareness, and reinforces Holder’s Energy-Based Safety culture through training, field engagement, and coaching. The ideal candidate confidently leads large-group training, supports onboarding and project kickoffs, and engages craft workers in the field—using training to influence behavior and strengthen safety execution on the job.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver safety orientations, OSHA-10/30, toolbox talks, and targeted training</li> <li>Facilitate sessions aligned with onboarding, project needs, and schedules</li> <li>Ensure training aligns with Holder standards, Energy-Based Safety, and SIF prevention</li> <li>Lead safety kickoffs, onboarding, and special training events with project teams</li> <li>Apply Energy-Based Safety principles, including energy identification and exposure control</li> <li>Integrate SIF prevention concepts like high-hazard recognition, CAZs, and controls</li> <li>Reinforce critical behaviors through field observation and coaching</li> <li>Partner with Safety and Superintendent teams to identify training gaps and risks</li> <li>Maintain strong field presence to reinforce safe behaviors and identify trends</li> <li>Support post-incident and near-miss training as needed</li> <li>Track and report training completion in HammerTech/LMS</li> <li>Stay current on OSHA standards and ensure compliant documentation</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of construction safety field experience</li> <li>OSHA 500 and authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer required</li> <li>Knowledge of Energy-Based Safety and SIF prevention</li> <li>Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to lead large groups and engage small crews</li> <li>Connects well with diverse craft workers across trades and backgrounds</li> <li>Committed to full-time, on-site project presence</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>CSP, CHST, CIT, or similar certification preferred</li> <li>Experience training adult learners in construction preferred</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) preferred</li> <li>Experience with HammerTech or similar platforms preferred</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full-time, on-site assignment at a designated large-scale construction project</li> <li>Physical demands are consistent with an active commercial construction environment, including standing, walking, climbing, and working outdoors</li> <li>Position may transition to a new project assignment upon project completion</li> <li>Occasional overnight travel between project locations may be required</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p class="font_8 wixui-rich-text__text"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">Holder is committed to Equal Opportunity Employment (EOE).</span></span></p> <p class="font_8 wixui-rich-text__text"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span class="wixGuard wixui-rich-text__text">​</span><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">Substance abuse testing and a background screening is a condition of employment and&nbsp;Holder Construction does not sponsor applicants for immigration status or benefits.</span></span></p></div>
