<h4>About the Role</h4> <p>As an Event Manager on the Navan Events team, you will plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse portfolio of client events—delivering world-class service, managing budgets with precision, and leveraging Navan's cutting-edge travel and event technology to scale operations. In this role, you will empower organizations to foster thriving cultures through expertly curated in-person experiences while driving decisions that support Navan’s revenue goals and product innovation.</p> <h4>What You’ll Do</h4> <ul> <li><strong>End-to-End Execution: </strong>Design, plan, and execute 8–12 client events simultaneously, managing timelines, vendor contracts, and logistics.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Advisory:</strong> Educate clients on industry best practices, offsite strategies, and cost-effective event design while building strong client relationships to drive account retention and repeat business.</li> <li><strong>Budget &amp; Financial Oversight: </strong>Manage event budgets to maximize impact and protect gross margins while supporting Navan’s net revenue goals and preferred vendor network.</li> <li><strong>Product Collaboration:</strong> Utilize Navan’s proprietary platform daily, delivering actionable UX and feature feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams to optimize our event management software.</li> <li><strong>Vendor &amp; Stakeholder Management:</strong> Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with top-tier venues and suppliers to secure competitive rates and exceptional service.</li> <li><strong>Client Satisfaction: </strong>Consistently meet and exceed NPS and CSAT targets through exceptional execution.</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>30-60-90 Day Success Roadmap</strong> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Within 30 Days: </span>Complete onboarding on Navan’s platform and SOPs; shadow senior planners on active accounts; begin managing initial events with Team Lead support; establish cross-functional relationships with Sourcing, Product, and Customer Success.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Within 60 Days: </span>Independently manage a full pipeline of events end-to-end; consistently meet CSAT targets; provide direct feedback to the Product team to optimize Navan’s event management software.<br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Within 90 Days: </span>Act as a strategic advisor to key clients; consistently hit net revenue and margin targets; drive process improvements that enable team scalability; achieve high client retention through post-event follow-up.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h4>What We’re Looking For</h4> <ul> <li>5+ years of end-to-end event management experience, including sourcing, budget management, vendor negotiations, and onsite execution.</li> <li>Strong project management skills with a proven track record of handling high-volume event portfolios in fast-paced environments.</li> <li>High executive presence with experience presenting directly to C-suite and senior leaders.</li> <li>Exceptional problem-solving skills with a creative, client-first mindset.</li> <li>Prior hospitality or corporate travel industry experience preferred.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% for onsite event execution, team syncs, and client meetings.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Navan uses AI-assisted Automated Employment Decision Tool (Metaview) to assist with evaluating resumes against job qualifications for this role.
