Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) at Navan

You will play a pivotal role in shaping technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving cross-team initiatives to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-focused solutions.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Lead technical strategy</strong> and architecture for core backend and frontend components of the platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.</li> <li><strong>Own complex domains end-to-end</strong>: from design through development, launch, and ongoing evolution of key microservices and customer-facing features.</li> <li><strong>Influence cross-functional teams</strong> (engineering, product, design) by aligning technical execution with business goals and long-term product vision.</li> <li><strong>Raise the technical bar</strong> through code reviews, architectural guidance, and fostering best practices in testing, monitoring, and documentation.</li> <li><strong>Mentor and coach engineers</strong> across the organization, helping to grow technical skills and leadership capabilities.</li> <li>Partner with leadership to define and execute a multi-year technical roadmap, ensuring that platform investments support company growth at scale.<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of software development experience, with deep expertise in both backend and frontend systems.</li> <li>Strong programming skills and CS fundamentals, with mastery in at least one backend language (Java, Python, etc.) and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, TypeScript).</li> <li>Proven experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems and microservice architectures.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to own technical domains, making architectural trade-offs and long-term design decisions.</li> <li>Experience driving cross-domain initiatives, coordinating with multiple teams to deliver cohesive solutions.</li> <li>Track record of mentoring engineers, leading technical discussions, and influencing outcomes at an organizational level.</li> <li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.</li> <li>Passion for solving complex problems, continuously learning, and delivering customer-focused innovations.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.<br><br></li> </ul>
