Teachers in this position must be able to do the following:</span></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates and teaches Health Science in a classroom setting using hands-on activities, career experiences and standards-aligned instruction.</li> <li>Interest in CTE Pathways as a certification&nbsp;</li> <li>Designs and executes experiments to create workable solutions.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience/comfort with online applications to enhance learning</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Design and implement curriculum and assessments that measure progress towards academic standards</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Receptive to weekly coaching and committed to growing and strengthening practice</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Implement multiple techniques for increased student engagement and checking for understanding&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Will be accountable for students’ mastery of academic standards</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Teaching experience in an upper elementary, middle, or high school with an underserved population</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Adept interpersonal and communication skills to diverse audiences&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Valid NJ Teacher Certification completed or in progress</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CTE Certification preferred, but not required.</span></li> </ul>
