<p>At Modern Animal, we’re on a mission to build the future of veterinary care, together. We believe in bringing humanity back to veterinary medicine, and we’re looking for a passionate, compassionate, and skilled <strong>Credentialed Veterinary Technician</strong> (referred to internally as <strong>Veterinary Nurse</strong>) to join our growing <strong>Virtual Care</strong> team.</p>
<p>This <strong>full-time</strong> role supports our Prescription Team within Virtual Care team. This role offers <strong>up to 40hrs per week with full benefits.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Schedule: Thursday through Monday </strong>(Tuesdays and Wednesdays off)<strong> 9:00am - 6:00pm PST</strong></p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Engage with members</strong> via chat, phone, and email, providing support and education on their pets’ prescriptions, health, and well-being</li>
<li><strong>Manage fulfillment requests</strong>, scheduling needs, and medical follow-ups in a timely, accurate, and professional manner; identify and prioritize customer needs</li>
<li><strong>Triage cases</strong> based on veterinary knowledge, offering recommendations and ensuring accurate information</li>
<li><strong>Handle and resolve tasks</strong> independently, on time, and to a high-quality standard</li>
<li><strong>Communicate</strong> <strong>with clinics and customers</strong> using a variety of software tools to navigate patient accounts, research and review policies, and communicate effective solutions</li>
<li><strong>Review medical records</strong> to understand patient history and provide informed guidance</li>
<li><strong>Document clearly and accurately</strong> in patient records using veterinary terminology</li>
<li><strong>Verify and process prescriptions</strong>, ensuring appropriate follow-up for client requests</li>
<li><strong>Deliver</strong> <strong>an unparalleled client experience</strong> by conveying empathy and warmth over chat, phone or video communication</li>
<li><strong>Follow protocols</strong>, maintaining consistency while adjusting to each unique case</li>
<li><strong>Participate</strong> in the evaluation of systems, giving frequent, productive feedback to the Virtual Care Leaders, or to the Product team via our internal feedback tools</li>

<h3>Why you'd be a great fit:</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Credentialed Veterinary Technician</strong> <strong>licensed for</strong> <strong>a minimum of two years</strong></li>
<li>Successfully completed the VTNE</li>
<li>5+ years experience in the practice of small animal veterinary medicine and surgery. Emergency and speciality experience preferred but not required</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge in patient care in-clinic and at-home, surgical and dental procedures, and the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions that would be routinely anticipated to occur in a general small animal practice</li>
<li>Willingness to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Passion for client experience</li>
<li>High level of emotional intelligence</li>
<li>Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently</li>
<li>Experience with a variety of computer programs</li>
<li>Exceptional verbal and written communications skills</li>
<li>Ability to work regular daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays</li>
<li>A quiet and distraction-free environment during working hours</li>
<li>The ability to sit and stand at a computer for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Forward thinker who enjoys living curiously</li>
<li>Provides compassionate, high quality medicine</li>
<li><strong>Minimum ISP (internet service provider</strong>) parameters of >100mb down/>100mb up/<10ms latency</li>
