The ideal candidate will possess experience in the hazardous and non-hazardous waste industry. Responsibilities:  <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Oversee day-to-day operations of hazardous waste operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. The areas of oversight include, <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Fuels blending</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Lab pack decommissioning/repackaging</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Hazardous waste solids consolidation</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Management of gas cylinders</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Management of oxidizers and reactive waste materials</li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Assist in developing and implementing operational strategies to optimize processes.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a high-performance culture.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ensure all areas of oversight meet quality and regulatory standards</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Work alongside Plant Manager to implement quality control measures.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Works collaboratively with Environmental, Health and Safety personnel to develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect employees and the environment.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Monitor and manage inventory levels of incoming and outgoing hazardous waste materials.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Evaluates and enhances existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Establish relationships with downstream kilns</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Establish relationships with rail operators</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Oversee rail related logistics activities.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ensure all operations are follow permitted activities are in full compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Recommend hires and retain employees.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Regularly analyze and assess industry and market trends.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Build relationships with local and state agencies (fire dept., health dept., licensing bureaus, Department of Environmental Quality, etc.)</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Develop technical expertise and knowledge of the company’s hazardous waste management programs</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Share recommendations with the plant manager for new products, services and identified areas of optimization.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team   </li> </ul> Basic Requirements: <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Strong communication skills with the ability to build, lead teams, provide direction to staff along with regular reporting to senior management. </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">5-10+ years’ experience within the hazardous fuels operations industry.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Specific experience importing/exporting hazardous fuels waste between the nations of Mexico and the United States.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Proven experience in a managerial role with strong leadership and team building skills</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">In depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Possess strategic, rail transportation, planning, warehousing and rail logistics, problem analysis, and creativity skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Expertise in all MS suite applications with strong Excel skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Excellent math skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Education: Bachelors and/or Master’s degree preferred.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certification w/ current 8-hr refresher</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">D.O.T. Hazardous Materials Training</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Able to obtain and maintain a fork truck license</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Personality conducive to teamwork</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must have a reliable form of transportation </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">This person will frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
