This position applies engineering principles in soils mechanics, hydraulics, structural theory, and surveying while gaining hands-on field experience. We are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for complex civil, geotechnical, and environmental challenges, guided by our core values of integrity, passion, teamwork, and smart work.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Office Tasks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the development of project cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs.</li> <li>Perform technical analysis of the remediation methodologies of various previously remediated projects.</li> <li>Perform other administrative or office duties as required or as assigned.</li> <li>Travel to project sites as necessary for extended durations.</li> <li>Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Field Tasks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Preparing project submittals.</li> <li>Maintaining project record documents.</li> <li>Perform technical review of contract plans and specifications.</li> <li>Provide oversight and documentation related to project quality control in accordance with the contract plans, specifications, and company policies and procedures.</li> <li>Preparing daily construction reports and progress tracking.</li> <li>Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.</li> <li>Assist with the management of subcontractors.</li> <li>Assist with the procurement or rental of equipment and materials.</li> <li>Assist Project Manager with project daily cost reporting and tracking.</li> <li>Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</li> <li>0-3 years of experience in construction or engineering.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret construction documents.</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license, ability to drive for the company.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering, specifically site surveying, earthwork, In-Situ Stabilization, mechanics of solids (particularly of soils), hydraulics, theory of structure, strength of materials, engineering geology.</li> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and USACE QCS systems.</li> <li>Experience with site surveying using both conventional and GPS methods.</li> <li>Assisting in the development of cost estimates and proposals.</li> <li>Experience with materials procurement and purchasing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Problem Solving &amp; Risk Assessment: Evaluate risks and effectively resolve challenges, champion safety and deliver exceptional quality standards.</li> <li>Autonomy &amp; Prioritization: Self-motivated, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.</li> <li>Collaboration &amp; Feedback: Committed to integrity, communication, teamwork and proactive customer responsiveness.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></p> <p>This office and field hybrid role requires frequent computer use and effective communication.
