Engineering Manager at Guardz

To this end, we introduced our comprehensive all-in-one Secure &amp; Insure platform, and continue to grow and expand our team, our partnerships and our revenue.</p></div><p>Guardz is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core product teams, building and scaling our cybersecurity platform.<br>This role combines strong people leadership with a sharp product and business mindset, along with the ability to stay close to the technology and step in hands-on when needed. You will operate in a fast-moving, dynamic environment, driving execution while adapting quickly to change.<br>We’re looking for a manager who is AI-first in mindset, comes from modern SaaS environments, and knows how to translate product needs into scalable, high-quality engineering outcomes.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering ownership, accountability, and growth</li> <li>Promote an AI-first engineering culture, leveraging modern tools to improve velocity and effectiveness</li> <li>Drive delivery of customer-facing features with high standards for quality, scalability, and speed</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define priorities and deliver business impact</li> <li>Ensure strong alignment between engineering execution and product/business goals</li> <li>Stay close to the team’s technical work, contributing to design, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement when needed</li> <li>Own team execution end-to-end: planning, delivery, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Guide architectural decisions while balancing short-term delivery with long-term system health</li> <li>Build a team environment that thrives in change, ambiguity, and rapid iteration</li> <li>Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their professional and career growth</li> <li>Continuously improve development processes, including CI/CD, testing, and cloud infrastructure</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience managing engineering teams</li> <li>Proven experience in SaaS product companies</li> <li>Strong product and business orientation, able to connect engineering work to customer and company impact</li> <li>Proven adoption and transformation to AI-first development practices</li> <li>Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments</li> <li>Supporting business at scale with hundreds/thousands of customers.</li> <li>Strong technical background with modern technologies (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar)</li> <li>Hands-on capability, able to dive into technical challenges and support the team when needed</li> <li>Solid experience with cloud environments and CI/CD practices</li> <li>Strong system design and architectural thinking</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li> </ul>
