Our structured career development program empowers associates to grow quickly into expanded roles and responsibilities based on merit. <span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">With operations throughout the United States, w</span>e offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-start="118" data-end="367"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Annual bonus program</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-start="118" data-end="367"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Paid time off</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-start="118" data-end="367"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Health, dental, vision, and life insurance</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-start="118" data-end="367"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">401(k)-retirement plan</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-start="118" data-end="367"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Night and swing shift differential pay for select roles</span></li> </ul> </div></div><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our MEP team in our Atlanta, GA office.&nbsp;This is a full-time, in-person position.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Estimate mechanical trades, including sheet metal, HVAC piping, plumbing, and associated systems.</li> <li>Prepare mechanical cost estimates from conceptual phase through final construction documents.</li> <li>Review and validate subcontractor proposal pricing and change orders.</li> <li>Develop value analysis by identifying cost-efficient alternatives to proposed scopes.</li> <li>Support meetings with owners, architects, and engineers regarding project cost phases.</li> <li>Lead mechanical cost efforts in core markets: Data Centers, Aviation, Higher Education, Corporate/Commercial Offices, and Laboratories.</li> <li>Perform material takeoff, input data into computerized cost models, and apply mechanical estimating manuals and guidelines.</li> <li>Prepare comparative cost analysis and explain variances to project stakeholders.</li> <li>Communicate with mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.</li> <li>Manage, train, and mentor junior mechanical estimators.</li> <li>Represent Holder at coordination meetings and industry events, maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.</li> <li>Provide internal communication among departments and project stakeholders.</li> <li>Prepare detailed MEP analyses of subcontractor and vendor bid proposals with recommendations for award, including risk and challenge analysis.</li> <li>Own the creation, updating, and presentation of project cost deliverables and tools to clients.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or equivalent MEP mechanical subcontractor estimating experience.</li> <li>10+ years of mechanical estimating experience specific to HVAC, plumbing, and/or building automation systems.</li> <li>Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications.</li> <li>Familiarity with MEP systems concepts, practices, and procedures; considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimations.</li> <li>Experience leading a team of MEP mechanical estimators.</li> <li>Outstanding communication and time management skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with mechanical commercial trade software such as FastEst, QuickPen, or Estimation.</li> <li>Working knowledge of mechanical estimating manuals and guidelines such as MCA and PHCC.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, and present ideas clearly.</li> <li>Proven ability to develop and lead teams, provide constructive feedback, and encourage high performance.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p class="font_8 wixui-rich-text__text"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">Holder is committed to Equal Opportunity Employment (EOE).</span></span></p> <p class="font_8 wixui-rich-text__text"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span class="wixGuard wixui-rich-text__text">​</span><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">Substance abuse testing and a background screening is a condition of employment and&nbsp;Holder Construction does not sponsor applicants for immigration status or benefits.</span></span></p></div>
