Position Summary The Supervisor is a senior technical and delivery-focused role with high client interaction. The role is responsible for reviewing work, providing technical guidance, supporting workflow management, and actively participating in client meetings. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and supporting the development of junior team members. This role is located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.   Primary Responsibilities  Client Engagement <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Maintain regular client contact and assist in managing client relationships</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist in client meetings covering annual compliance reviews, tax planning, business performance, and structuring discussions</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Respond to client queries with a high level of professionalism and technical accuracy</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Support Managers and Principals in delivering end‑to‑end compliance and advisory outcomes</li> </ul> Accounting, Taxation & Review <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Review financial statements prepared</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Review income tax returns (company, trust, partnership and individual)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide guidance on income tax, CGT, small business concessions, FBT and GST</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with ATO correspondence, reviews, objections and queries, as required</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure compliance with ATO lodgement, regulatory and professional standards</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide technical advice and guidance on tax law and compliance matters</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure work meets quality, accuracy, and compliance standards</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with complex tax issues and escalations</li> </ul> Team Support & Workflow <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with workflow coordination and deadline management</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Act as a point of escalation for technical and process queries</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Support and mentor accountants and offshore team members</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to training and capability uplift within the team</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">6–8 years’ experience in business services and taxation within public practice</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">CPA or CA qualification</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">High-level tax law and review expertise</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated experience supporting and reviewing team output</li> </ul> <h2>Skills and Attributes</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong technical knowledge and review capability</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Confident communicator with clients and internal stakeholders</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborative and supportive leadership style</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines</li> </ul>   Focus Partners Australia is part of Focus Financial Partners, a leading financial services firm based in the United States, comprised of wealth management, family office, and business management services.
