We are Sparksoft!</div>ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and deliver high quality code, scripts, and services using Agile and DevOps practices in an AWS cloud environment.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to build and maintain solutions following Agile development principles.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Contribute actively to improving development practices, methodologies, and team productivity.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build applications with a focus on simplicity, reliability, scalability, performance, and reusability.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Follow established coding standards, best practices, and style guidelines.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in peer code reviews to improve code quality.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide Level 2 support, debugging, and troubleshooting for existing applications.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Mentor junior developers and support their growth.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure secure development practices and maintain end to end application security</li> </ul> REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  <ul> <li>Core Java & Backend: <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, OOP, J2EE, and microservice design fundamentals</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hands on Experience with Micro Services (RESTful APIs /JSON, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc) on containerization architecture</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experienced with Agile scrum delivery model</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong knowledge of multithreading and design patterns</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Building and consuming REST APIs (SOAP optional)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Integration & Messaging <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Basic to intermediate experience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with any messaging systems such as ActiveMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS is a plus</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency working with JSON, XML, and XSD schemas</li> </ul> </li> <li>Database <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with any relational and NoSQL databases </li> </ul> </li> <li>Cloud & DevOps <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, OpenSearch etc.. is a plus</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Docker; basic understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven)</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Comfortable working in Linux environments</li> </ul> </li> <li>Testing <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with JUnit, Mockito or similar</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Postman or SOAP UI or similar</li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years</li> </ul> PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Basic Python scripting for automation or AWS tasks</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exposure to JavaScript for frontend or full stack work</li> </ul> EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">WHAT WE OFFER:  At Sparksoft, we know that people do their best work when they feel supported, inspired, and connected.
