We deliver this through the Open Media Studio, an AI-enabled media and data platform for the next era of advertising. </em><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>Back-end Engineer (Mid-weight)</strong></p> <p>As a Back-end Engineer, you’ll join a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, strategists, and product experts. You’ll play a key role in delivering accessible, secure, performant, and scalable applications that make a real impact — all while developing your skills and contributing to a supportive, learning-focused engineering community.</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and evolve modern digital products using C#, TypeScript, and React (as applied to Next.js and Remix).</li> <li>Develop APIs and backend services using .NET Core and relational databases, supporting composable and data-driven architectures.</li> <li>Build and deploy in Azure, using App Services, Functions, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.</li> <li>Work closely with Product, UX, Strategy, and DevOps specialists to co-create high-quality, outcome-focused solutions.</li> <li>Integrate with headless SaaS tools like Contentful, DatoCMS, Prismic, Algolia, and others in the composable ecosystem.</li> <li>Apply DevOps and performance engineering practices — including caching, observability, and scalability — to deliver resilient products.</li> <li>Contribute to our Software Engineering discipline, sharing knowledge and helping shape how we build and deliver technology at Code.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with C# / .NET Core, TypeScript, and React (Next.js / Remix).</li> <li>A good grasp of relational database design and API development.</li> <li>Practical experience deploying to Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).</li> <li>Familiarity with headless CMS and composable architectures.</li> <li>A passion for building products that are accessible, performant, secure, and user-centred.</li> <li>A collaborative mindset — you value working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and learning from others</li> </ul> <p><strong>Life at WPP Media &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <p>Our passion for shaping the next era of media is powered by our commitment to&nbsp;Be Extraordinary, investing in our employees to inspire transformational creativity.
