Our Frontline Perception System is an edge-first software platform that allows anyone, even with no technical knowledge, to build and use machine learning models within a comms-contested tactical environment.</p> <p>This role serves as a technical and operational leader for field integrations, helping shape how TurbineOne deploys, scales, and supports FPS in operational environments. The Field Integration Engineer plays a key role in organizing integration efforts, implementing tooling and workflows, and enabling field teams and customers to execute reliably and repeatedly.</p> <p><strong>Job Title: </strong><em>Lead</em> <em>Field Engineer</em></p> <ul> <li>Reporting to: Engineering Operations Manager</li> <li>Location:<strong> </strong>Geographically flexible for home-office with frequent travel required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as a technical lead for field integration efforts, helping define and standardize how FPS is deployed, integrated, and supported across customer environments.</li> <li>Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of field engineering tooling, scripts, and integration workflows.</li> <li>Identify gaps in integration processes and help implement scalable solutions that improve repeatability, reliability, and deployment speed.</li> <li>Partner with engineering, product, and customer success teams to translate field requirements into actionable implementation patterns and tooling.</li> <li>Support the operational readiness of field personnel by developing documentation, deployment guides, and integration playbooks.</li> <li>Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate customer infrastructure and inform integration strategies and tooling needs.</li> <li>Develop and maintain integration plans, timelines, and technical documentation that guide execution across engagements.</li> <li>Provide hands-on technical support during deployments, serving as an escalation point for complex integration challenges.</li> <li>Gather and synthesize field feedback to inform improvements to FPS capabilities, integration approaches, and internal tooling.</li> <li>Help ensure successful deployments by proactively identifying risks and assisting in resolution of integration issues.</li> </ul> <p><strong>On a Typical Day You Would:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build, provision, and configure FPS deployments using standardized tooling and repeatable workflows.</li> <li>Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align integration requirements with established implementation approaches.</li> <li>Design, document, and refine integration processes that can be reused across similar customer environments.</li> <li>Develop or improve scripts (JavaScript, Python, Go, Bash) that enable data routing, automation, and integration reliability.</li> <li>Deploy and configure FPS on-site or remotely, validating integration performance and stability.</li> <li>Support and enable field-facing personnel and customers through documentation, training materials, and technical guidance.</li> <li>Provide technical input into improving field tooling, deployment automation, and integration diagnostics.</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex integration issues and contribute lessons learned back into process and tooling improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Experience and Attributes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution and implementation.</li> <li>Experience designing or improving operational processes, tooling, or workflows in field or production environments.</li> <li>Strong systems-thinking mindset with an interest in making complex integrations repeatable and scalable.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical direction through expertise and execution.</li> <li>Comfort operating as a technical owner in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Eligibility:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to obtain a clearance with the U.S. government.</li> </ul>
