In this role, you will build and maintain the backend services and user-facing analytics experiences that power operational insights for Anaplan. You will be responsible for presenting customers and internal users with the data they need to drive their decision-making.</span></p> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="531">You will work as a full-stack developer, responsible for building the REST APIs and web UIs needed to make this data available in a performant and reliable way. We build services in Python and React. This role suits an engineer who is accountable, collaborative, and comfortable moving between data, backend, and frontend work. There will be opportunities to engage with and learn from other parts of the ODL platform, including a modern Lakehouse built on Databricks.</span></p> <p><strong><span data-markdown-start-index="1002">Key Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1029">Build and support scalable REST services in Python.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1084">Develop and enhance web frontend features (e.g., React/TypeScript) for analytics and diagnostics experiences embedded in the Anaplan product shell.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1235">Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for services, jobs, and UI delivery.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1312">Write robust tests across UI and backend layers to ensure reliability and performance.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1402">Use SQL or PySpark to investigate underlying source data.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1463">Collaborate with product, data, and platform partners to deliver BI/analytics features in a trusted and usable UI.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1581">Work in a team-focused environment with a data-driven mindset.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1647">Be curious and willing to learn.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-markdown-start-index="1682">Required Qualifications</span></strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1712">3+ years of experience in a software engineering role with full-stack exposure (backend + frontend), or strong backend/data experience with proven frontend delivery.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1881">Solid programming skills in Python.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="1920">Experience building or consuming REST services (Python preferred; willingness to work with existing Kotlin/Java services is a plus).</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2056">Hands-on experience with a modern frontend stack (React and TypeScript preferred).</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2142">Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2190">Working knowledge of SQL.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2219">Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-markdown-start-index="2329">Preferred Qualifications</span></strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2360">Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2417">Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2456">Familiarity with observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting).</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2529">Experience supporting high-uptime, production-grade systems.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2593">Familiarity with data science tools.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span data-markdown-start-index="2633">Experience with Spring Boot is a bonus.</span></p> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) </strong></p> <p>We believe attracting and retaining the best talent and fostering an inclusive culture strengthens our business.
