At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work. </div>What You’ll Do BridgeBio is seeking a Director, Managed Markets - Regional - Central to lead access strategy and execution across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The Director will manage relationships with regional commercial payers, FFS and managed Medicaid programs, and aligned IDNs for BridgeBio's current and future rare disease portfolio. The role is accountable for launch readiness, timely formulary and policy review, appropriate coverage, and resolution of access barriers in partnership with Field Reimbursement, Sales, Medical, HEOR, Marketing, Trade, and Pricing and Contracting. The Director will also serve as the corporate relationship owner for HCSC and CareSource, coordinating strategy and regional execution across their affiliated markets. This position reports to the Vice President, Market Access. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Develop and maintain senior-level relationships across assigned regional commercial payers, FFS and managed Medicaid programs, integrated delivery networks, and provider-sponsored health plans throughout the Central territory</li> <li>Own the corporate relationships for HCSC and CareSource, establish the enterprise account strategy, and coordinate affiliate and state-level execution with other aligned Regional Account Directors</li> <li>Develop and execute account-specific business plans for the assigned Central portfolio, including Blue plans, regional payers, Medicaid-focused organizations, and provider-sponsored health plans, to support rapid and durable access for approved products</li> <li>Profile each account's formulary and medical policy review process, utilization management requirements, decision makers, and geographic reach; identify and address launch barriers before P&T and coverage reviews</li> <li>Coordinate with Medical, HEOR, Marketing, Trade, Pricing and Contracting, Field Reimbursement, Sales, and Operations to deliver the clinical and economic value story and resolve access issues</li> <li>Communicate payer policy and coverage changes to field teams, support appropriate pull-through after access wins, and maintain current knowledge of relevant state Medicaid policy and regional market dynamics</li> </ul> Where You’ll Work  This is a remote, field-based role covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, with a strong preference for candidates who live within the geography. The aligned portfolio includes HCSC, CareSource, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Medica and Dean Health Plan, HealthPartners, Priority Health and Corewell Health, Health Alliance Plan and Henry Ford Health, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Wellmark, UCare, and other assigned regional payers, Medicaid programs, and IDNs. Who You Are <ul> <li>Education: BA/BS degree required</li> <li>Experience: Minimum of 10 years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience, including at least five years in regional payer account management. Demonstrated rare disease launch, contracting, and pull-through experience with regional payers, Medicaid, IDNs, and Centers of Excellence required</li> <li>Central relationships: Established relationships with decision makers at HCSC, CareSource, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Medica, HealthPartners, or comparable Central regional payers and IDNs strongly preferred</li> <li>Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li> <li>Solid understanding of the Payer sector, including knowledge of Medical/Pharmacy Benefit Designs, current legislation, and Medicaid (Managed/FFS)</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop sound strategies in response to the current healthcare marketplace</li> <li>Superior communication (oral and written) and teamwork skills to effectively contribute across cross-functional teams</li> <li>Experience coordinating corporate payer strategy across parent and affiliate relationships, with clear ownership and regional execution responsibilities</li> <li>Ability to understand and present complex clinical data for approved indications</li> <li>Travel: 50-60%</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div> <div>At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits.
