About the Role

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm) Position Summary Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters for more than 120 years, is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Franklin, TN. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.   Key Responsibilities   <ul> <li>Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on production machinery, automated equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.</li> <li>Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor to support production schedules and minimize disruptions.</li> <li>Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, calibrations, and adjustments to meet production requirements and quality standards.</li> <li>Install, remove, and service screw guns, tape guns, fixtures, conveyors, sensors, and other production equipment as required.</li> <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support PLC-controlled systems, including explaining troubleshooting steps and corrective actions to leadership or operators when needed.</li> <li>Read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.</li> <li>Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, PM completion, and parts usage in the maintenance tracking system.</li> <li>Collaborate with production operators, engineers, supervisors, and fellow maintenance technicians to improve equipment reliability and performance.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.</li> <li>Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards at all times.</li> </ul>   Competencies & Skills   <ul> <li>Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Proactive, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.</li> <li>Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Comfortable working around loud machinery and industrial equipment.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.</li> </ul>   Education & Experience Required / Preferred: <ul> <li>Certification as an IEM Technician (required or strongly preferred).</li> <li>3–5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.</li> <li>Experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, and automated production equipment preferred.</li> </ul>   Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role: <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.</li> <li>Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb as required for equipment access and repair.</li> <li>Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.</li> <li>Ability to use hands and tools for fine motor tasks and equipment repair.</li> </ul>   Work Environment <ul> <li>Manufacturing environment with exposure to paint, heat, dust, odors, and noise.</li> <li>Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).</li> </ul>        <div class="content-conclusion">About Lasko Products  Better Air Starts Here.  Lasko Products is the leading air solutions brand with a reputation for reliable products, peak performance, and perpetual innovation – our commitment to our customers for over a century.
