Associate/AVP, Structured Finance at Assured Guaranty

<table width="744"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="744"> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="744"> <p>The Structured Finance Team is responsible for the origination and credit underwriting of financial guaranty and credit insurance opportunities in a wide range of structured finance sectors including ABS, CLO, CRE, Fund Finance and other esoteric asset securitizations and financings. These transactions may contain elements of portfolio credit risk, corporate or financial institution credit risk, collateral value risk, interest rate risk or insurance-related risks.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="744"> <p><strong>Position Description</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="744"> <ul> <li>Assist in the development, writing and presentation of underwriting recommendations</li> <li>Creation of spread sheet-based cash flow and financial models</li> <li>Assist in the performance of due diligence</li> <li>Work with rating agencies as part of shadow rating process</li> <li>Research and compile industry trends/data.</li> <li>Research and development of new sectors</li> </ul> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table width="744"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="744"> <p><strong>Candidate Background</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="744"> <ul> <li>3 - 6 years’ experience, depending on qualifications</li> <li>Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university, preferably with a focus on finance, accounting, or other quantitative discipline</li> <li>General financial knowledge of fixed income capital markets (knowledge of structured finance useful but not required)</li> <li>Ability to interact with clients, senior management and other departmental members</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal skills</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Excellent computer literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint (cash flow modeling experience useful)Ability to work independently and as part of a small, cohesive team</li> </ul> <table width="733"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="733"> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="733"> <p>Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $120,000 per year to $140,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions.
