If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Responsible for end-to-end NVH simulation development across component, subsystem, and full-vehicle levels, covering structure-borne and airborne noise. </li> <li>Build and execute high-fidelity CAE models to predict vibration behavior, noise propagation, and overall acoustic performance. </li> <li>Perform modal, frequency response, and transfer path analyses to identify dominant noise and vibration sources and paths. </li> <li>Develop and apply structure-borne and airborne NVH models, including mounts, body structures, cavity acoustics, and acoustic treatments. </li> <li>Define and cascade NVH targets from vehicle to subsystem and component levels. </li> <li>Lead root-cause analysis and develop simulation-driven countermeasures. </li> <li>Correlate CAE predictions with physical test data and improve model accuracy and predictive capability. </li> <li>Partner with design, body, and supplier teams to integrate NVH solutions early in development. </li> <li>Review design changes for cross-attribute NVH impact and support vehicle milestones and sign-off. </li> <li>Drive optimization of damping, isolation, structural, and acoustic solutions. </li> <li>Develop efficient workflows, automation, and contribute to digital twin integration. </li> <li>Support adoption of AI/ML tools to enhance NVH prediction and workflow efficiency. </li> </ul> Who you are <ul> <li>Strong foundation in vibration, acoustics, and structural dynamics with hands-on NVH CAE experience. </li> <li>Experienced in full-vehicle NVH development within an OEM or Tier-1 environment. </li> <li>Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to balance engineering depth with program timelines. </li> <li>Effective communicator of complex technical insights across cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Motivated to deliver high-quality vehicles and continuously improve engineering processes.</li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. </li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> <li>Travel: Approximately 10% for test facilities, suppliers, and vehicle evaluations. Valid driver's license required.</li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring:  Required:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. </li> <li>8+ years of automotive NVH CAE experience. </li> <li>Strong fundamentals in vibration and acoustics. </li> <li>Experience with NVH tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, OptiStruct, Actran, VA One, or equivalent. </li> <li>Experience in modal, frequency response, and transfer path analysis. </li> <li>Proven CAE-test correlation and root-cause analysis capability. </li> <li>Strong technical communication skills. </li> <li>Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.</li> </ul> Preferred:  <ul> <li>Experience with electrified powertrain NVH.</li> <li>Familiarity with SEA or hybrid FE-SEA methods..</li> <li>Experience with Python or MATLAB for automation</li> <li>Exposure to optimization, DOE, or robustness studies</li> <li>Experience supporting OEM development milestones and sign-off. </li> </ul> <h4>What you'll gain</h4> The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
