Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.</p></div><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>ANSER is seeking&nbsp;a&nbsp;Strategic Planner&nbsp;to provide&nbsp;Operations and Analysis Support Services&nbsp;with the Office of the&nbsp;Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy&nbsp;(IBP) Global Investment and Economic Security Directorate (GIES).&nbsp;In this role you will support GIES senior leadership in conducting strategic planning, analysis, project, and program management activities.</p> <p><strong>Day to Day&nbsp;Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic planning, program management, and implementation support to the GIES missions, economic security and adversarial capital initiatives, and the National Defense Strategy (NDS).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide change management, transformation and integration, facilitation, and management efforts; writing, editing, and conducting briefings&nbsp;to&nbsp;support senior leadership&nbsp;and&nbsp;specific audiences (e.g., DoD senior leadership, analysts, technical experts, interagency, allies and partners, Congress).&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish, reform, and optimize GIES strategic, transformation, governance, business, and communication processes to build and develop GIES optimized strategic functions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Design and implement new GIES strategic capabilities to support the design and implementation of GIES and&nbsp;DIB&nbsp;transformation and strategic capabilities,&nbsp;short-term through long-term transformation processes, analysis methodologies, and controls.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform program plan development,&nbsp;management, and&nbsp;reporting activities for multiple missions and strategic projects to implement the NDS and GIES strategic goals and authorities. Support the development of project plans, roadmaps, plan of actions and milestones (POAMs) related to GIES strategic activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Support GIES Senior Leadership with conducting analyses, due diligence, data analytics, tracking, and other duties and responsibilities as it pertains to strategic planning, transformation, and implementation activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist the GIES Principal Director, the GIES Front Office and project teams, and DoD senior leadership with the development of various strategic communications, outreach, change management and transformation programs, processes, and documentation&nbsp;(i.e.,&nbsp;Decision Briefings/White Papers, roadshows, conferences, speaking engagements and presentations).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>TOP SECRET/SCI eligible&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree&nbsp;</li> <li>5 years’&nbsp;relevant&nbsp;experience&nbsp;in strategic planning, project/program management, transformation, communications, and decision support.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and ability&nbsp;to develop&nbsp;solutions, recommendations, or outcomes across multiple complex tasks and/or organizations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience evaluating options&nbsp;in the context of project&nbsp;objectives&nbsp;and contribute to the implementation of strategic direction.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience supporting&nbsp;project&nbsp;objectives&nbsp;through activities such as conducting interviews, gathering data, and developing&nbsp;project objective&nbsp;recommendations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to direct the activities of Management Consultants or other&nbsp;staff&nbsp;as necessary.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal/social skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to direct the activities of Management Consultants or other&nbsp;staff&nbsp;as necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience&nbsp;operating&nbsp;within the Department of Defense (DoD), the Industrial Base Policy or a similar, strategic-level staff environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven ability to brief, interact with, and provide counsel to senior military leaders, including Flag and General Officers&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience supporting on-site implementation of project plans&nbsp;and process improvement initiates&nbsp;ensuring&nbsp;objectives&nbsp;are met.&nbsp;</li> <li>Professional certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)&nbsp;a&nbsp;Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)&nbsp;or&nbsp;a recognized equivalent&nbsp;with&nbsp;a track record&nbsp;of driving successful process improvement initiatives.&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="line-height: 1;">&nbsp;</p> <p>In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail&nbsp;<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a></p> <p>ANSER is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
