<div class="ui-form-item ui-form-item-horizontal" data-direction="horizontal"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <p>SMX is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to support our government client in Huntsville, AL.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with team members and customers to build and modify software</li> <li>Develop code, test, debug and fix issues, and improve software performance</li> <li>Connect data from differing sources such as SQL or Dataverse</li> <li>Set up, configure, and manage GitLab pipelines to automate build, deployment, and continuous integration processes</li> <li>Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces</li> <li>Integrate APIs and web services into applications as needed</li> <li>Ensure compliance with MDA Software Assurance policies and agile methodologies</li> <li>Modernize current legacy applications and migrate them to the hybrid cloud service provider environment</li> <li>Participate in sprint reviews and system demos as required</li> <li>Maintain technical documentation to include release notes for new software versions and training materials</li> <li>Provide the customer with recommendations for application enhancements, to include new capabilities and performance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Clearance Required: Secret</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required <ul> <li>4 additional years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement</li> </ul> </li> <li>1+ years of relevant software experience</li> <li>Knowledge of, and experience employing, the software development life cycle</li> <li>Software engineering experience encompassing:<br> <ul> <li>software requirements analysis</li> <li>software design</li> <li>software coding</li> <li>software integration and testing</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience with Azure, AWS, and Gitlab pipelines</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and work across a variety of software development projects&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience using JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, APIs, HTML and CSS</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and as a team</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Must reside within a 70-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL&nbsp;</strong></li> </ul> <p><span data-contrast="auto">#cjpost #LI-ONSITE</span></p> </div> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
