About the Role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The mission of the Client Services Delivery team at SMX is to deploy innovative products to our federal customers. The CFO Control Tower Budget and Spend solution (BAS) is a planning and reporting solution that has been pre-built for the federal government and runs on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). We are seeking a Federal Budget Consultant for the implementation of BAS for a Federal customer. Candidates should have familiarity with the Federal planning, programming and budgeting processes and experience with system implementations. This is a full-time position on a multi-year contract that will allow for 100% remote work.</p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Document and communicate budgetary processes of our federal customer with the project team.</li> <li>Communicate Federal Budget Policies and their impacts to business processes and system requirements with the project team.</li> <li>Document federal budgeting and execution customer reporting requirements.</li> <li>Create business requirements documents and functional design documents to support technical development of budgeting and reporting solutions.</li> <li>Create mockups and visual aides to communicate functional designs internally and to customers.</li> <li>Develop test plans, test scenarios/cases, and manage testing execution.</li> <li>Conduct BAS solution demos at all levels of a Federal Agency</li> <li>Prepare and conduct BAS presentations at all levels of a Federal Agency</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Required Skills &amp; Experience</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust.</li> <li>5+ years' experience in federal budget related activities within the areas of budget formulation, budget execution, spend plan creation and personnel planning.</li> <li>Knowledge of budgetary regulations and procedures.</li> <li>Knowledge of systems integration and reporting.</li> <li>Expertise in civilian federal budgeting, forecasting, and labor planning experience, along with strong implementation/systems integration experience across multiple ERP systems (Momentum, SAP, Oracle) coupled with knowledge of project management best practices.</li> <li>Experience with one or more ERP systems used in the federal government like SAP, Oracle or Momentum.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Experience in business process analysis and functional design of financial budgeting &amp; reporting solutions.</li> <li>Experience with Hyperion/Oracle Planning, OneStream, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SAP SAC, etc., OR custom-built budgeting solution for a federal customer.</li> <li>Experience with SAP BusinessObjects or other BI tool like Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Desired Skills &amp; Experience</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Federal Agencies</li> <li>Experience with Federal Budget Process</li> <li>Experience with System Development Lifecycle process</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;<strong><span data-contrast="auto">Application Deadline:</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> 6-15-2026</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">#</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> LI-SA1</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
