Daily responsibilities include performing initial inspection of loads, collecting, reviewing, and processing the </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW119206042 BCX8">appropriate paperwork</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW119206042 BCX8">. The Scale House attendant/operator also ensures the safety of all customers/visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations.</span></span><span class="EOP SCXW119206042 BCX8" data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Receive logs, chips or other material into the plant.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Inspect loads to ensure quality criteria is met.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Weigh incoming trucks, issue a ticket for receipt into the plant and re-weigh truck upon exit of the plant to ensure accurate billing.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure safety of scale area and that loads are not brought in that do not meet safety criteria.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Keep scale and ramps clean and free of debris.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">As first point of contact, communicate in a professional, courteous manner with our suppliers.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist drivers with the scaling system and safety protocol to ensure accurate information and driver safety.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Other jobs as directed.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW182831935 BCX8">Basic computer knowledge</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW182831935 BCX8"> and ability to use a touch-screen computer.</span></li>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">High School Diploma or GED</span><span data-contrast="auto"> </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience in the wood industry</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">At least 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Prior industrial safety knowledge, OSHA training, etc.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Willingness to cross train</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Willingness to work overtime to fill in for other scale house operators</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to identify logs, hardwood chips, softwood chips and other wood products</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees </li>
<li>Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment </li>
<li>Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day</li>
<li>Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery</li>
<li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.</li>
