This role supports our mission to empower commercial teams and veterinary clients through expert education, evidence-based insights, and collaborative communication—enabling confident, informed decision-making that elevates patient care within the veterinary specialty pharmaceutical market.  The Opportunity  In this highly collaborative role, you will serve as a clinical leader focused on the education of veterinarians in disease state awareness, diagnosis, and management—particularly within cardiovascular conditions affecting companion animals. You will work closely with cross-functional field teams and act as a trusted clinical advisor to business leadership, providing strategic input on both commercialized products and the future development pipeline.   Compensation & Benefits  <ul> <li>Employee Ownership (ESOP): Company-funded retirement contribution of approximately 18% of pay, plus 401(k) </li> <li>Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus opportunity </li> <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, and Pet Insurance </li> <li>Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave </li> <li>Fitness and tuition reimbursement programs</li> </ul> Essential Duties & Responsibilities <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted clinical advisor and subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, including employee-owners, veterinary professionals, key opinion leaders, and corporate partners. </li> <li>Communicate objective, evidence-based product information and best-practice medicine to support treatment guidelines, brand strategies, and business objectives. </li> <li>Mentor Sales Force Leadership and Professional Service Veterinarians to achieve aligned clinical and commercial goals at both regional and territory levels. </li> <li>Represent the organization as a credible and engaging speaker across diverse forums, ranging from small-group discussions to major national and international conference presentations, focused on unmet disease states in companion animal medicine. </li> <li>Build and sustain strong professional relationships with general practitioners, specialists, academic institutions, and industry leaders. </li> <li>Actively participate in professional and specialty organizations through committee involvement, board service, and invited speaking engagements. </li> <li>Collaborate with research and development teams on study design, in-life assessments, and evaluation of emerging clinical trends, serving as the “voice of the veterinarian.” </li> <li>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational objectives. </li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree </li> <li>Diplomate status from an accredited veterinary specialty board (e.g., ACVIM, ACVS, ACVSMR, ACVECC, ACVB, ABCB) or recognized feline specialty practitioner </li> <li>Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally including at least 5 years in an industry-based professional services role </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with veterinary customers and commercial sales teams </li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with a servant-leader mindset; self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities </li> <li>Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, field-based and remote environment </li> <li>Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications </li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% </li> <li>This position will be based in the Kansas City Metropolitan area or the Florida Panhandle, near Pensacola, FL. Short-term disability will provide 70% income replacement up to $1,350 per week and long-term disability will provide 60% income replacement up to $5,000 per month. Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off (PTO) Everyone needs time off to rest and recharge! Paid time off includes Regular PTO, Personal PTO, and specified paid company holidays. *The amount of paid time off (PTO) depends upon the employee's position and years of service. Applicants are awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular/community activities.   Tuition Reimbursement After one full year of employment, employee-owners are eligible for tuition reimbursement for bachelor’s level coursework related to their current job or any future job offered at PBI-Gordon Companies. Parental Leave Company paid parental leave is offered to employee-owners following the birth of a child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption, foster care, or surrogacy.
