Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.</p></div><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>ANSER is seeking&nbsp;a&nbsp;Mitigation Manager<strong>&nbsp;</strong>to provide&nbsp;Mitigation/Compliance and Enforcement Analysis&nbsp;within&nbsp;the Office of the&nbsp;Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy&nbsp;(IBP) Global Investment and Economic Security Directorate (GIES).&nbsp;In this&nbsp;role&nbsp;you&nbsp;will&nbsp;be part of a team&nbsp;that&nbsp;reviews&nbsp;transactional documents, regulations, government contracts, and real estate contracts;&nbsp;provides&nbsp;legal reviews of mergers and acquisitions, business/corporate law, regulations, finance, international trade, national security, litigation, and technology; and&nbsp;collaborates&nbsp;with Investment Analysts&nbsp;to&nbsp;draft complex agreements such as National Security Agreements and written briefing packages for senior government officials.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Day to Day Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review transactional documents, regulations, government contracts, and real estate contracts under supervision, identifying key issues and summarizing findings for senior team members.</li> <li>Support legal and regulatory reviews related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, finance, international trade, national security, litigation, and technology.</li> <li>Assist Investment Analysts in drafting and editing agreements such as National Security Agreements and preparing briefing materials for senior government officials.</li> <li>Collaborate with Investment Analysts, Team Telecom Analysts, and other stakeholders to gather information, track action items, and support ongoing casework.</li> <li>Support compliance monitoring activities for CFIUS agreements and orders to help ensure identified risks are mitigated. Activities may include:</li> <li>Assisting with coordination and communication with agreement parties</li> <li>Supporting the review of compliance documentation and submissions</li> <li>Conducting preliminary analysis of compliance data and escalating issues as needed</li> <li>Contributing to compliance reports and enforcement documentation</li> <li>Participating in meetings with DoD and interagency stakeholders</li> <li>Assist in the drafting and review of CFIUS-related documents, including waivers, amendments, and other supporting materials.</li> <li>Support compliance monitoring efforts through preparation for site visits, stakeholder meetings, and related activities; may include limited travel.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, standard procedures, and internal documentation with guidance from senior staff.</li> <li>Work with cross-functional teams, including business operations and cybersecurity professionals, to support compliance and risk assessment efforts.</li> <li>Prepare draft case summaries, talking points, and action memos for internal review.</li> <li>Track and summarize developments in investment security and technology policy, including CFIUS-related updates.</li> <li>Support Case Managers and senior team members in completing risk assessments and developing mitigation recommendations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s&nbsp;degree&nbsp;</li> <li>3&nbsp;years’&nbsp;relevant&nbsp;mitigation/compliance and enforcement analysis&nbsp;</li> <li>Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility/adjudication&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience&nbsp;to&nbsp;apply analytic methodologies and principles to address client needs,&nbsp;evaluate&nbsp;project&nbsp;objectives,&nbsp;and contribute to the implementation of strategic direction&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to perform&nbsp;and&nbsp;assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;analyst functions including data collection, interviewing, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measurements to support project objectives&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience conducting&nbsp;activities in support of project team’s objectives&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to manage junior staff and work closely with&nbsp;team members including&nbsp;Analysts, Task Leads, or Project Manager&nbsp;</li> <li>Competent&nbsp;with modern office tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;with&nbsp;preparation of&nbsp;executive-level briefings and reports&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience&nbsp;operating&nbsp;within the Department of Defense (DoD), the Industrial Base Policy or a similar, strategic-level staff environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work&nbsp;both&nbsp;independently and&nbsp;collaboratively&nbsp;to support project completion&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="line-height: 1;">&nbsp;</p> <p>In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail&nbsp;<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a></p> <p>ANSER is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
