This broadcast journalism photojournalist will capture stories that highlight the best of the human spirit. These stories will air and stream nationally on TEGNA-owned TV stations and apps. The photojournalist will travel at least one week a month to different communities across the country with a partner who specializes in this kind of reporting.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)"> </div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">The ideal applicant for this position is a master at capturing moments and a deeply empathetic, compassionate storyteller. We are searching for someone who wants to create memorable stories that attract and inspire audiences on every viewing platform.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)"> </div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)"><strong data-ogsc=""><u data-ogsc="">Responsibilities:</u></strong> <br> <br>•    Produce original, enterprise video stories that captivate, evoke emotion and tell compelling stories.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Travel approximately 25% to cover feature stories across the country</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Produce and edit videos in vertical and traditional horizontal formats.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Use a variety of photography tools to tell great stories.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Use Adobe Suite or Edius video editing software. <br>•    Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories. <br>•    Ability to shoot and edit multiple cameras interviews.  <br>•    Attend editorial meetings, participate in discussions, and pitch story ideas.  <br>•    Post videos to the website, YouTube and other social platforms.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Write headlines, abstracts, or social media captions for videos.  <br>•    Drive and operate news gathering vehicles to and from various locations. </div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Cover breaking, general, sports, feature, investigative, and political news stories as needed. <br>•    Perform other tasks as required.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Reports to Corporate Director of Content, Enterprise.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)"> <br> <br><strong data-ogsc=""><u data-ogsc="">Requirements:</u></strong> <br> <br>•    Associates/BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field. Related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    3-5 years of photojournalism experience <br>•    Knowledge of non-linear editing systems, Adobe Suite or Edius experience a plus </div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">•    Proven ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots. <br>•    SNG experience a plus <br>•    Live Center/ENG coordination experience a plus <br>•    Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects a plus <br>•    Demonstrated news judgment with an understanding of the tenets of professional journalism. <br>•    Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines. </div> <p></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Pay Range </div><div class="pay-range"><span>$43.27</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$48.08 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><h3>Benefits: </h3> <p>TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
