<div class="content-intro"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Job Title: QC Manager (Electrical)</strong></p> <p><strong>Department:</strong> Quality Assurance / Quality Control<br><strong>Reports To:</strong> Area Manager<br><strong>Location:</strong> Iowa<br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The QAQC Missions Critical Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for large-scale electrical data center construction projects. This role ensures all work complies with design specifications, customer requirements, industry codes, and company standards. The QAQC Manager will lead a team of QAQC Technicians and coordinate closely with project management, field operations, commissioning teams, and clients to drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Quality Management &amp; Oversight:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QAQC plans, procedures, and inspection/test plans in alignment with company standards and project requirements.</li> <li>Lead QAQC kickoff and coordination meetings with project and client stakeholders.</li> <li>Oversee all inspection activities, including installation verification, workmanship checks, and system testing for electrical systems such as power distribution, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.</li> <li>Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accurate installation and compliance.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable codes and standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Documentation &amp; Reporting:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), test results, and turnover packages.</li> <li>Maintain accurate inspection logs and coordinate final quality turnover documentation to support commissioning and client closeout.</li> <li>Utilize QAQC tools for inspection tracking, issue management, and documentation control.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Coordination &amp; Leadership:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to QAQC field technicians.</li> <li>Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.</li> <li>Support and participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned initiatives.</li> <li>Interface with clients, general contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure alignment and compliance with quality expectations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct audits and performance reviews to monitor adherence to quality standards.</li> <li>Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance the company’s QAQC program.</li> <li>Support training and development for field teams to reinforce best practices and code compliance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum <strong>5–7 years of QAQC experience</strong> in <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ELECTRICAL</span></strong> construction, preferably in <strong>data center, mission-critical, or industrial projects</strong>.</li> <li>Proven experience managing large-scale electrical QAQC programs from installation through commissioning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and local jurisdictional codes.</li> <li>Familiarity with electrical testing procedures including megger, torque, continuity, insulation resistance, and ground testing.</li> <li>Proficiency with digital QAQC management platforms (e.g., Fieldwire, Procore, CxAlloy).</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals.</li> <li>Working knowledge of commissioning, turnover documentation, and quality processes in the data center environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and leadership abilities.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li> <li>Problem-solving and decision-making mindset with a focus on quality and accountability.</li> </ul> <p>Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.</p>
