<h2>Job Summary</h2>
<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Pipe Fitter Supervisor </strong>to oversee pipe fabrication and installation activities in a shop or field environment. This role is responsible for supervising pipefitters, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical pipefitting knowledge and the ability to drive production while maintaining safety and workmanship excellence.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Supervise daily pipefitting operations to ensure quality, safety, and productivity targets are met</li>
<li>Lead and manage pipefitters, helpers, and subcontractors as assigned</li>
<li>Interpret and work from <strong>isometric and orthographic piping drawings</strong></li>
<li>Coordinate with welding, fabrication, quality, and engineering teams</li>
<li>Ensure proper fit-up, alignment, tolerances, and material usage prior to welding</li>
<li>Enforce company safety policies, PPE usage, and job site safety requirements</li>
<li>Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure Safety Task Assessments (STAs) are completed</li>
<li>Monitor productivity and manpower; develop recovery plans when production goals are not met</li>
<li>Manage Fitter productivity targets:
<ul>
<li>Fitter Booths: <strong>120 diameter inches per 8-hour shift</strong></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Verify materials, fittings, and components match project specifications</li>
<li>Identify and resolve field or shop issues related to fit-up, rework, or material discrepancies</li>
<li>Work with Quality Control to address non-conformances and inspection findings</li>
<li>Ensure accurate completion of daily reports, manpower logs, and turnover documentation</li>
<li>Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas</li>
<li>Participate in daily production and coordination meetings</li>
<li>Uphold a professional, respectful, and team-focused work environment</li>
</ul>
<h2>Additional Duties</h2>
<ul>
<li>Provide coverage for other supervisors as needed</li>
<li>Coordinate rework to meet schedule and quality requirements</li>
<li>Assist with training and mentoring of pipefitters and apprentices</li>
<li>Issue disciplinary documentation when necessary</li>
</ul>
<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>5+ years of pipefitting or piping fabrication experience</strong></li>
<li>Previous supervisory or lead pipefitter experience preferred</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of pipe fitting methods, materials, and tolerances</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret <strong>isometric, orthographic, and P&ID drawings</strong></li>
<li>Understanding of piping materials, valves, fittings, and supports</li>
<li>Strong safety leadership and communication skills</li>
<li>Basic computer skills (production reports, timekeeping, or project software)</li>
</ul>
<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experience in industrial, refinery, or power plant environments</li>
<li>Familiarity with ASME piping codes</li>
<li>Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklifts, manlifts, )</li>
</ul>
