About the Role

<p><strong>Aksia Overview</strong></p> <p>Aksia is an alternative assets specialist, providing bespoke investment solutions for institutional investors globally. Our business provides clients with advisory, investment management, and research services across private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge funds. As of October 31st, 2025, Aksia advises on over $326bn and manages $34bn of client capital.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>Aksia is seeking an associate level professional to join our Private Markets Client Operations team. Our client operations team is responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and middle/back-office solutions to our global client base. The incumbent will also collaborate daily with Aksia’s investment, risk, data and Pan Alternatives professionals. Ideal candidates will be highly detail oriented, possess excellent quantitative analysis skills, and be comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment.</p> <p>This position can be based in Aksia’s San Diego office, or fully remote (preferred in a US Pacific or mountain time zone) and will include regular interaction with global colleagues and clients.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with middle and back-office operations and account services on private market funds</li> <li>Record transactions to the company’s investment management system</li> <li>Liaise with investment managers, third party administrators and banks</li> <li>Track forecasted cash flows – capital calls, distributions, invoices, etc.</li> <li>Review all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etc.</li> <li>Review monthly/quarterly closing packages for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etc.</li> <li>Review management fee calculations, including offset amounts, management fee waiver contributions, etc.</li> <li>Review investor allocations and capital account statements</li> <li>Review capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices</li> <li>Review distribution waterfall (carried interest) models, in keeping with the applicable fund terms</li> <li>Prepare and/or review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules</li> <li>Work on the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the client and auditors and service providers</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>3 to 5 years of fund accounting/operations experience, ideally at a fund administrator, investment manager, public accounting firm or other financial institution</li> <li>Knowledge of private equity, private credit, fund accounting, legal structures, investment objectives, fee structures.</li> <li>CPA preferred but not required</li> <li>Strong quantitative and qualitative skills</li> <li>Advanced professional proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li> </ul>
