They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.</span></p></div><h3><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE:</strong></h3> <p>We are hiring skilled Electricians to support the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mission-critical electrical systems for xAI’s data centers. You will work on high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, grounding, lighting, and process power in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where uptime and safety are paramount.</p> <p>This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced journeyman electricians who thrive in industrial or data center settings and want to contribute directly to groundbreaking AI infrastructure.</p> <h3><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Install, terminate, and test electrical systems including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and grounding.</li> <li>Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.</li> <li>Support commissioning activities: point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, and system energization.</li> <li>Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications.</li> <li>Ensure full compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and xAI safety &amp; quality standards (including LOTO and arc flash protocols).</li> <li>Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to deliver projects on time with zero incidents.</li> <li>Participate in constructibility reviews and provide field feedback to improve designs.</li> <li>Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and test records.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent) with 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or mission-critical electrical work (data centers, power plants, or large facilities preferred).</li> <li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V (medium/high voltage experience a big plus).</li> <li>Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, meggers, power quality analyzers, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.</li> <li>Current OSHA 10/30 training and strong safety mindset.</li> <li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts during critical builds or commissioning.</li> <li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments with PPE.</li> </ul> <h3>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with data center or hyperscale power infrastructure (redundant UPS, generators, busway systems).</li> <li>NETA certification, NICET, or equivalent.</li> <li>Knowledge of PLC/controls, SCADA, or variable frequency drives.</li> <li>Prior work on large-scale construction projects.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>xAI is an equal opportunity employer.
