Four Hands is where passion meets purpose and where your next chapter begins.</div><div>The Assistant Quality Manager supports the execution of quality assurance initiatives to ensure products meet Four Hands’ standards for craftsmanship, safety, and customer experience. This role partners cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, and global teams to reduce defects, improve processes, and drive a consistent, scalable quality culture.</div> In This Role <ul> <li>Support the Quality Manager in leading day-to-day quality operations, including team oversight, performance support, and execution of departmental priorities </li> <li>Provide coaching and development support to Quality team members, reinforcing technical capabilities, accountability, and alignment with company standards </li> <li>Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment by promoting clear communication, engagement, and continuous improvement </li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Distribution Centers, and Sales to support quality standards, resolve issues, and drive improvement initiatives </li> <li>Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, including inspection standards, testing requirements, and compliance with internal and external regulations </li> <li>Assist in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address defects, reduce waste, and improve product quality </li> <li>Contribute to quality-related projects using structured problem-solving and project management approaches </li> <li>Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, providing insights to support data-driven decision-making </li> <li>Maintain accurate quality documentation and support reporting tools and dashboards to improve organizational visibility </li> <li>Identify and escalate quality risks that may impact product performance, customer experience, or brand reputation </li> <li>Support audit activities, compliance reporting, and documentation as required</li> <li>Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications</li> <li>Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team <ul> <li>Be open and honest</li> <li>Reach for excellence</li> <li>Act with responsibility</li> <li>Value the whole person</li> <li>Enjoy the journey</li> </ul> </li> </ul> The Ideal Person <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field </li> <li>Experience with quality assurance, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across products and supply chains </li> <li>Working knowledge of quality methodologies, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) </li> <li>Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, and Sales teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using quality metrics, KPIs, and trend analysis to drive decisions </li> <li>Experience identifying and mitigating quality or compliance risks in support of customer experience and brand standards </li> <li>Ability to support team development through coaching, training, or knowledge sharing </li> <li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders </li> <li>Experience coordinating projects or initiatives in a cross-functional or matrixed environment </li> </ul> Preferred <ul> <li>Experience in furniture, consumer goods, manufacturing, or related industries </li> <li>Familiarity with global supply chains and overseas vendors </li> <li>Experience with quality management systems (QMS), inspection tools, or audit frameworks </li> <li>Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training or certification </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h3 id="about-heading" class="external-panel__heading">About Four Hands</h3> <div id="about-body" class="external-panel__trix-content external-panel__trix-content--colored"> <div>Headquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
