<li>As a <strong data-stringify-type="bold">Tax Manager – Direct Taxes</strong>, you will play a leading role in managing complex direct tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to ensure compliance while driving global tax efficiency. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and business partners to deliver value across corporate tax, compliance, and tax planning initiatives.</li>

<h2><strong>What you bring</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Experience:</strong> Proven experience in international direct taxation, preferably in a consultancy or multinational corporate environment.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Technical Knowledge:</strong> Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross-border compliance, tax treaties, and EU Directives.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Leadership Skills:</strong> Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Analytical Skills:</strong> Capability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to senior management.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Languages:</strong> Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Communication:</strong> Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder communication skills across regions and functions.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Industry Experience:</strong> Startup or fintech experience is a plus.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Remote Work:</strong> Prior remote work experience is advantageous but not required.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Post-Graduate or Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.</li>

<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Direct Tax Compliance:</strong> Oversee global direct tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other direct tax filings across all company entities.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Collaboration with Advisors:</strong> Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Sustainable Compliance:</strong> Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax authorities, mitigating risk and maintaining strong relationships.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Risk Management:</strong> Identify, monitor, and address potential tax risks, proposing actionable solutions.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Tax Audits & Inspections:</strong> Assist in managing audits and inspections, liaising with tax authorities to resolve issues efficiently.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Tax Strategy & Planning:</strong> Provide strategic tax guidance on cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and tax-efficient planning aligned with business objectives.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Regulatory Monitoring:</strong> Keep up-to-date with changes in global tax laws and proactively adapt processes and strategies.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Team Leadership:</strong> Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, supporting their development and day-to-day execution.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting.</li>

The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands.
