Streaming is a strategic priority for the company as we evolve to meet the needs of audiences seeking timely information on breaking and developing news and severe weather on the platform they need it most.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">This role requires the skills of a traditional linear broadcast</span><strong><span data-contrast="none"> </span></strong><span data-contrast="none">anchor with an affinity or interest in breaking and developing news. It will be delivered exclusively to customers with connected televisions and apps. We value a collaborative and motivated journalist who works well within a team to bring the truth to our growing audience across various platforms, starting with our streaming and broadcast services.</span> <br> <br><span data-contrast="none">Experience on an anchor desk, responding live-time to multiple live images and feeds, a keen interest in newsgathering and responsiveness and a proven track record of anchoring high-quality content will make your application stand out. <p><span data-ccp-props="{}"><span data-teams="true"><strong>This role is to anchor for a TEGNA corporate streaming channel that will be based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. </strong></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">Responsibilities:</span></strong> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Anchor multiple livestreams daily.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Generate unique and compelling stories and show ideas around topics impacting our country.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Take a leadership role in content and production.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Collaborate with producers, reporters, photojournalists, managers, and other TEGNA team members.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Edit together video specials/re-racked content that will work for VOD purposes.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Regularly explore new ideas following careful discussions with supervisors.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Challenge the traditional way of doing things.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Passion for breaking news and go-getter attitude.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Regularly explore new ideas following careful discussions with supervisors.</span> <br> <br><strong><span data-contrast="none">Requirements:</span></strong> <br><span data-contrast="none">• At least 5 years of reporting and anchoring experience.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Strong on-camera delivery with the ability to ad-lib.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Strong leadership qualities with prior experience motivating, engaging and recognizing team members on multiple projects.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• The ability to coach and collaborate with teammates on content projects.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Sound news judgment and a proven track record of recognizing enterprise content.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Experience using ENPS and desktop video editing software such as Edius, strongly preferred.</span> <br><span data-contrast="none">• Desire to live and work in-</span><span data-contrast="none">person in</span><span data-contrast="none"> Charlotte, North Carolina.</span> <br><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><h3>Benefits: </h3>

<p>Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.</p>
<p>Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.</p>
<p>TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year. </p>
