Additionally, you will play a decisive role in transferring the lessons learned to product optimization activities and the later pre-series and series production line. In your role you will report to the Manager of the Engineering Office.   Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li><span data-ccp-parastyle="paragraph" data-ccp-parastyle-defn="{"ObjectId":"aaed607e-c2a3-5841-9fb4-41037bfa0faf|1","ClassId":1073872969,"Properties":[201342448,"1",469777843,"Times New Roman",201341986,"1",335559705,"1033",335551547,"1033",335559740,"240",201341983,"0",201342446,"1",201342447,"5",201342449,"1",469777841,"Times New Roman",469777842,"Times New Roman",469777844,"Times New Roman",469769226,"Times New Roman",268442635,"24",469775450,"paragraph",201340122,"2",134233614,"true",469778129,"paragraph",335572020,"1",134233118,"true",134233117,"true",469778324,"Normal"]}">Assist in the development of the Electrical Engineering System for Scout electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs </li> <li>Be a part of the vision of engineering excellence & source of knowledge </li> <li>Be the central point of contact in the Production Center in Columbia/Blythewood for the Vehicle Software and Electrical Engineering Systems team in Novi  </li> <li>Develop test environment, instrumentation strategies, responsible for creating stable and representative test environments to perform automated testing and functional integration of distributed features. </li> <li>Collaborate with SW, HW teams, suppliers, function owners to ensure streamlined production integration and test implementation, trouble shooting in test assets. </li> <li>Test bench integration across diverse systems, ECU’s, control units, sensors and actuators into the Production system. </li> <li>Validates and troubleshoots simulator, automation solutions, vehicle systems within the Production environment for early detection and resolution/debug EE system components HW/SW issues. </li> <li>Expertise with manual, automated test execution for SW, ECUs and wiring harness, analysis of test results and generation of test reports per sprint schedule </li> <li>Leads continuous process improvements to expand automated testing scope, improve reliability and optimize execution. </li> <li>Testing experience using Hardware in the Loop equipment, software (e.g. dSpace, National Instruments), embedded controller networks (CAN, LIN) and the use of ECU diagnostic and network communication tools (e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy) </li> <li>Design & create with collaboration, a integration and a testing strategy that allows other teams to contribute and implement their necessities </li> <li>Partner with other concept & systems architect teams to come up with solutions to engineering & functional challenges and issues coming up in the production process </li> <li>Collaborate with suppliers and Scout cross-functional teams to ensure system components meet validation and testing requirements. </li> <li>Work with pre-series team to support the build process. </li> <li>Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas that enhance system performance and fulfil production needs.  </li> <li>Hands-on prototyping and building capability, from initial operation to coordinating and implementing software </li> <li>Be involved in other related tasks / activities as required </li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina</li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset.
