About the Role

<p>The Production Planner will be responsible for developing daily schedules and plans for production to ensure customer orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner.&nbsp; Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, data analysis, and attention to detail are critical to ensuring that production has a clear set of orders for the day, and expedite requests are monitored and tracked to completion. Candidate must have a high attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with multiple teams.&nbsp; This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to explore careers outside of the laboratory and warehouse.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Generate manufacturing build plans for critical stock to maintain lab supply.</li> <li>Reviewing daily production schedules for manufacturing to execute</li> <li>Review lab stock and conduct clear-to-build (CTB) assessments to confirm material availability meets production’s planned schedule.</li> <li>Own inventory discrepancy resolution across production labs and the shipping area.</li> <li>Establishing and reviewing Kanban levels for effectiveness and efficiency.</li> <li>Serve as point of contact for the production team’s inventory requirements, requests, and questions; communicate, track, and expedite special order requests for timely completion.</li> <li>Develop and maintain systematic reports to monitor effectiveness of production order output.</li> <li>Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.</li> <li>Assist in lab cycle counts and reconciliations.</li> <li>Analyze material usage, ensure efficient consumption per FEFO, and troubleshoot inventory issues such as shortages, expired, or short-dated stock.</li> <li>Reserve materials in the system and confirm/close work and production orders in a timely manner.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of prior experience in material planning, manufacturing, or inventory control.</li> <li>Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft / Google office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.</li> <li>Biotech or pharma industry experience is preferred.</li> <li>Basic understanding of manufacturing capacity planning.</li> <li>Experience conducting clear-to-build (CTB) assessments or resolving inventory discrepancies (e.g., shortages, expired, or short-dated stock) a plus.</li> <li>ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.</li> <li>Bachelor degree or 4 year work experience equivalent required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Activities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working in an ISO 13485 manufacturing environment, including clean rooms.</li> <li>Frequent walking through labs, offices, and the warehouse to review materials and engage stakeholders.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below.
