We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience developing, maintaining, and operating cloud-native infrastructure services. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure-focused engineer who is proficient with open-source platform technologies such as Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related cloud-native tools. You will help design, build, and operate the infrastructure services that power Truveta’s healthcare data platform on Microsoft Azure. </li> <li>As a senior engineer, you will help shape technical direction, drive engineering and operational best practices, mentor other engineers, and improve the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of Truveta’s infrastructure services. </li> </ul> This Opportunity  Join the founding team of the Truveta India Development Center (IDC) and play a pivotal role in shaping its future. We are looking for passionate senior software engineers who are excited to apply infrastructure engineering expertise to help revolutionize healthcare. </li> <li>In this role, you will lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure services that support Truveta’s platform. You will work across container orchestration, service mesh, API gateway infrastructure, workflow orchestration, platform automation, observability, reliability, and security in Azure-based environments. </li> <li>This opportunity requires strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on infrastructure expertise, technical leadership, creative problem solving, and proficiency with modern open-source cloud-native technologies. </li> </ul> What You’ll Do  <ul> <li>Lead the design, development, maintenance, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure services for Truveta’s healthcare data platform. </li> <li>Build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and reliable production workloads. </li> <li>Develop platform capabilities using open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related cloud-native tools. </li> <li>Design and operate infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure. </li> <li>Drive automation, tooling, and operational improvements that increase engineering velocity and platform reliability. </li> <li>Improve observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring. </li> <li>Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution for infrastructure services. </li> <li>Partner with product engineers, security teams, architects, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable platform capabilities. </li> <li>Make sound technical decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed. </li> <li>Write clean, maintainable code and configuration for infrastructure services, automation, and platform tooling. </li> <li>Establish and improve operational practices, deployment guidance, runbooks, and engineering standards. </li> <li>Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help build team expertise in Azure and open-source infrastructure technologies. </li> <li>Evaluate and adopt open-source technologies where they improve Truveta’s platform capabilities. </li> </ul> Key Qualifications  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. </li> <li>7+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience. </li> <li>Significant experience developing, maintaining, and operating production infrastructure or platform services. </li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure. </li> <li>Experience with open-source infrastructure technologies such as service mesh, API gateways, workflow orchestration, or container orchestration platforms. </li> <li>Experience managing infrastructure and platform services on Microsoft Azure. </li> <li>Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, GitOps, monitoring, and operational best practices. </li> <li>Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, access control, and distributed systems concepts. </li> <li>Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across infrastructure, services, networking, data stores, and distributed systems. </li> <li>Ability to lead technical discussions, influence infrastructure design decisions, and mentor other engineers. </li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver reliable infrastructure in a fast-moving engineering environment. </li> <li>Effective communication and collaboration skills. </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications  <ul> <li>Deep hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure services. </li> <li>Proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Kong, Conductor, or similar open-source platform technologies. </li> <li>Experience developing automation or tooling using C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages. </li> <li>Experience with infrastructure as code, deployment automation, GitOps, and CI/CD systems. </li> <li>Experience with observability tools and practices, including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and service health monitoring. </li> <li>Experience operating high-scale production infrastructure and participating in on-call support. </li> <li>Experience contributing to open-source projects or committing to open-source repositories. </li> <li>Experience with large-scale data platforms, distributed systems, analytics platforms, healthcare platforms, or regulated environments. </li> <li>Interest in building reliable infrastructure that improves healthcare outcomes and helps save lives with data. </li> </ul>
